As I walked into he Fillmore the LOVE sign glowed as smiling faces welcomed my mother and I. After checking our tickets we ventured up the stairs to another kind face whom greeted us and informed us to enter a contest to win concert tickets and receive updates on upcoming shows. The dim lights of the Budweiser Club room illuminated the stage where LION BABE and Kamau would be performing.
We stopped at the table to view merchandise before cruising around a little. A tall young man wished us to have a great time before directing us to our seats under the Pink promotional framed photo. The area is beautiful. The red vintage leather couches , red curtains, and brick wall set for a sultry alluring vibe. After we were seated we took in the view. The show room started to fill with concert goers and music of Erykah Badu, Musiq Soul Child, and other artist streamed on the TV as their music floated through the air. My mom and I talked and posed for a few pictures. Seated on the other side of the curtain was Style Connoisseur Eugene Simms of DC. I snapped pictures of the stylish music lover. My mother, Eugene and I all sat together in our booth as we waited for the show to start. We all talked , laughed , and shared stories. Soon the Budweiser Club was full and fans were beyond excited. The lights faded a little more before artist Kamau took the stage. Kamau is a D.C lyricist and singer. As he took to the stage we headed to the floor to get the full vibe of being at the concert. He performed songs from his EP “ A Gorgeous Fortune” and spoke about the injustice in America and that it’s not just a black problem but a problem. As he performed “Pohlease” we held our fist as the names of victims of police brutality rang out through the speakers the energy shifted in the room. Did you feel that? It was something powerful about that moment. The energy of those souls definitely were in the room during that time. He even brought artist No Wyld, on stage to perform “Jusfayu” with him. His set was packed with so much goodness. You can get his EP ( here) . After his set music continued to play for a while before Interscope artist “LION BABE” took the stage. The duo Jillian Hervey and Lucas Goodman have joined forces to create incredible music. Jillian welcomed all of us Philly fans as she proudly said “We are Lion Babe”. She looked beautifully golden. She’s stunning and her hair just gives off so much life . Lucas rocked out doing the production for the set. The crowd turned up as they performed songs from their "Begin " EP such as “Wonder Woman” ( I LOOOOOOOVE THAT SONG) , Got Body, On The Rocks, Stressed Out, Hold On , Treat Me Like Fire, Jungle Lady, Where Do We Go, Impossible , and a couple other records. Jillian also took the time to shout out her parents the beautifully talented Vanessa Williams and producer and entertainment industry exec Ramon Hervey II. Jillian also expressed her feelings about the importance of stopping the violence and that lives matter and dedicated her song "Little Dreamer". The crowd was pumped as we danced and sang along with Lion Babe. Huge shoutout to her band and live audio engineer Brandon for keeping the sound on fleek and sounding good.Lion Babe closed out the show with a performance of their hit song “Jump Hi”. We jumped up and down as she showed off her amazing dance skills. Once the show was over Lion Babe took photos with their supporters. All in all the show was beyond amazing. You have to put a “LION BABE” show on your bucket list. You have to put a “Kamau” performance on your must see list. The Fillmore is an awesome venue to see a show. Definitely follow them on social media. I’d also like to thank John Legere the CEO of T-Mobile for T-Mobile Tuesdays and lacing me with special tickets from Stubhub to see the show. Get LION BABE album and follow them on social media. Love to everyone that attended and thank you LION BABE and Kamau for being absolutely awesome. PixMob is an amazing innovative and genius company. I was introduced to PixMob two years ago at Oprah's "Life You Want Tour" in Washington, D.C. The experience was unforgettable and I couldn't stop talking about the interactive wrist band to my family, friends, and associates. After getting in touch with the Director of Marketing & Communications Laeitia Bedout, and interviewing Commercial Director Jean Olivier Dalphond let's just say I fell in love with the whole idea of PixMob and their mission to connect infuse, light, creativity, technology and social media with giant crowds. The beautifully talented Taylor Swift incorporated PixMob into her 1989 World Tour. If you didn't get to attend maybe you watched her performance on the Grammy's a few weeks ago .The audience had glowing PixMob wristbands as they jammed out to Taylor's opening performance. Taylor Swift's 1989 World Tour consisted of 84 shows, 86 guest, stars, 54 cities, and 10 countries and guess what everyone whom attended was wearing a PixMob wristband. I attended the Philadelphia show at Financial Field with my family and there were 50,000 people in attendance. Not only were the lights beautifully in sync with Taylor's rock star performance but everyone loved the multiple color effects of the the wrist bands. I had the amazing opportunity to meet PixMob Project Manager Sophie Blondeau at the show. It's official if you all haven't noticed I love PixMob and the products and their consistency and innovative new ideas. PixMob just launched their new project "Spark by Pix Mob". PixMob has created countless immersive experiences world wide, connecting audiences directly to the show with pulsating lights in sync with the sound. Participants become a part of each uniquely designed event. For the first time, PixMob brings these tools to you, putting the control completely into your hands and letting you create such unforgettable interactive experiences for your guest. Now it's official you can have PixMob in your home or throw a party in which you control the lights and effects. How cool is that? I reviewed the products and I am 1000% sure not only will you love it and become a triple PixMob fan but you'll you become a PixMob love for life. Sitting in my home using my iPhone to control my PixMob wristband is one of the coolest experiences ever . I interviewed Digital Marketing Specialist Sylvain Ottle all about "Spark" . So check it out below 1.) The Mogul Girl : Why did PixMob decide to create the Spark App? Sylvain Ottle : Fill the smaller event gaps. We were mainly working with organizations requesting 10K wrist bands and more. The focus was to be able to offer the product for smaller events and make the PixMob experience more accessible for personal gatherings - weddings, family parties, celebrations, smaller corporate event . People can now control and create their own experience. Take connectivity to a whole new level. 2.) The Mogul Girl : Technology is changing everyday what plans do you have for PixMob? Sylvain Ottle : - Wearable technology and internet of things are what we are diving into. -Move towards more bi- directional interaction between audience and performer as well as between people in the crowd. -A lot is going to come up this year in terms of fun and new products but we will keep it a surprise a little bit longer. We will keep you guys posted. 3.) The Mogul Girl : What's your favorite thing about Spark App? Sylvain Ottle : Spark uses blue tooth technology instead of infrared ( bigger events technology) . We are able to provide a IOS app to control your own light show. Which makes our experience accessible to a smaller crowd. 4.) What was your first PixMob experience? Sylvain Ottle : The Superbowl- Halftime show was my first PixMob experience and what a great memory. 5.) The Mogul Girl : Do you have a particular place, event, or artist you want to see incorporate PixMob into their set? Sylvain Ottle : Difficult question as we have been working already with a lot of great artists and companies. Personally being a French immigrant in QC, I would like to see a project involving Helico drop from the Eiffel Tower. 6.) The Mogul Girl: You are a business man what are some important business tips that one should keep in mind? Sylvain Ottle : Keep improving our core technology. That is what PixMob values most. Always trying to be ahead of our competitor and clients wishes/ requests. And foremost provide the best user experience we can. Always create a new wow factor. 7.)What's your biggest dream for PixMob? Sylvain Ottle : That's related to question 5. 8.) The Mogul Girl : What if the batteries go out in the wrist band can they be used with Spark App again? Sylvain Ottle : Yes, you can change the battery and use it all over again. Our wristband have a 3-4 hour capabilities at full solid colors and up to 6hrs using lighter effects . 9.) The Mogul Girl : Whats your favorite color ? Sylvain Ottle : I would say the shimmer effect and using light blue color. 10.) The Mogul Girl : Is there anything special you want The Mogul Minute readers to know ? Sylvain Ottle : You will be able to control your Bluetooth-enabled LED wristbands with the PixMob SPARK app either by letting the app do all the work in AUTOMATIC mode while you enjoy the party with your guests, or taking full control of all the effects in MANUAL mode. * Automatic: In this beat-responsive mode you can simply play music directly from you device or place it in front of your sound system's speakers. After selecting three of your favourite colours (millions of colours available) watch everyone’s wristband magically light up to the beat. * Manual: If you enjoy being in complete control of your show, this highly responsive manual mode is for you. By changing the colour, effect, and chance you can create stunning light shows that your guests will never forget. Effects: Solid, strobe, pulse 11. ) The Mogul Girl : What do you love the most about PIXMOB ? Sylvain Ottle : The PixMob team and workmates are what makes our life at work incredible. PixMob is all about working efficiently with having fun. Huge shoutout to PixMob everyone from the company I've come in contact with ha been amazing and so passionate. I'm so excited and can't wait to see what's next. Congrats PixMob on the launch of Spark. Instagram videos of me testing out the Spark App / wristbands

Either we all change or we all fall - Tupac There's so much going on in the world and instead of separating we need to continue to unify. In this interview of Tupac ( I've searched for this entire video but I can't find it) however this footage is so powerful. There's positive and heartbreaking things occurring that really need to change. The water crisis in Flint Michigan is stomach turning and from numerous articles posted today (we've learned this issue could have been prevented) but to see people uniting to send water and money to help the situation is incredible . Meek Mill has donated sending 60k bottles of JUST Water to the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan . Motivational writer/speaker/entrepreneur Nehemiah Davis of Philadelphia has started a mission #Philly2Flint to send 10,000 waters to help with the men, women , and children of the city. Meanwhile this crisis is going on the issue of diversity at this years 88th annual Academy Awards has gained tons of attention. Numerous celebrities, directors, bloggers, etc have expressed their opinions and feelings about the lack of African American people being nominated and awarded for their work in the entertainment industry. ( I believe people should be honored for their hard work whether they're are a platinum selling artist, an incredible actor, or the top employee at your local fast food restaurant) . However in this vintage interview of Tupac he mentioned some very important statements about Hollywood. Indeed if we make a change in America as a nation and as people things will also change in other areas. Yes we should be honored for our work in the industry instead of just being "entertainers" however we also need to realize that we as people no matter what race should be treated equally . The ultimate goal is to have peace in all forms and areas. I agree with Tupac's statement that it is time for "America to see how they look at minorities". We have faced racial injustice for years on multiple levels. Yes, there are some incredible films directed by, written by, and featuring some very incredible African American entertainers and for none of them to be nominated this year is outrageous and that definitely needs to change . The impact that the celebrities have showed for this matter received a quick response from Academy President Cheryl Boone Isaacs . Which only shows that if we come together more often about events and issues we can not only get a response but also a positive actual effect that could possibly change the negativity. Listen to the points Pac emphasized in this interview years ago . It's 2016 and it's official we need to realize that "Either we change or we all fall". "We gotta make a change... It's time for us as a people to start makin' some changes. Let's change the way we eat, let's change the way we live and let's change the way we treat each other. You see the old way wasn't working so it's on us to do what we gotta do, to survive". - Tupac Dr.Martin Luther King Jr., once said "Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter". It has come to point where we can no longer be silent and just continually accept the disrespect, the discrimination, the inequality, and injustice. It is time to speak up and take action . Tomorrow from 3:00 P.M - 8:00 P.M Blackout for Human Rights and the Campaign for Black Male Achievement will host “MLK Now". This special day will honor the life of Dr.Martin Luther King Jr, (although we should honor his legacy everyday). However this celebration is to honor his visions, his words, his dedication, and his social impact on the world. The event will take place at Harlem’s Riverside Church , where Dr. King performed his famous 1967 speech “Beyond Vietnam: A Time To Break Silence” (and indeed it is time to break silence). Aren't you tired of hearing about African American men and women being killed by police and each other? Aren't you tired of the lack of acknowledgment of African American art in the industry that could have a great impact on today's youth? What about the unfair treatment of African American American women, men, in work school, and the entertainment industry ? There are so many things we are tired of and it's time for it to stop and for a positive change to come. United Black Out has gathered together some very successful celebrities and influential figures to speak and perform at this #MLKNow event including Comedian/Actor Chris Rock, Academy Award winner Octavia Spencer, Multi talented actor Michael .B.Jordan, Tony Award Winner Anika Noni Rose, Actress Tessa Thompson, the phenomenal Harry Belafonte, India Arie and more. There will be performances from Grammy Nominated artist Bilal. There will be a panel discussion about human rights issues, police violence, racial and social injustice, economic equality, the complex prison industry, and political mobilization. Panelist include the incredible Director Ryan Coogler, Grammy nominated motivational artist J.Cole, Black Lives Matter Co Founder and Black Alliance for Just Immigration Executive Director Opal Tometi. Arab American Association of New York Executive Director Linda Sarsour, Million Hoodies Movement for Justice, Executive director Dante Barry , and actor Leon Ford Jr. The Blackout movement is strong and influential. The organization consist of film makers, music artist, entertainers, spiritual leaders, and educators, and citizens who want to share their collective resources to improve Human Rights. Black Out members include Ryan Coogler, Michael B. Jordan, Charles King, Nate Parker, rapper Donald “Childish Gambino” Glover, Director Ava DuVernay, Jesse Williams, John Burris, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Rosa Clemente, Michael McBride, Shaka King, Scott Budnick, David Oyelowo, Pastor Michael McBride and others. Don't miss the event. Doors open at 3:00 P.M . Tickets for the event are free and can be found (here) . For Updates follow @UnitedBlackOut and @BMAchievement using the hashtag #mlkNOW and #CBMA . Huge thank you to VICE whom will be streaming the event live for those who can not attend. So make sure you tune into the stream below at 3PM It's time #MLKNOW THE MOGUL MINUTE : MOTIVATIONAL PURPOSES MEEK MILL RELEASES #THETRILLEST VIDEO ( THE MOGUL GIRL)1/17/2016
Meek Mill released his second album "Dreams Worth More Than Money (DWMTM) on June 29,2015 . The album featured singles "Check" and "All Eyes On You" ft his lady Nicki Minaj and Chris Brown. The album landed Meek Mill a #1 spot on the US Billboard 200. After the release Twitter and Instagram was buzzing about his track "The Trillest". That track is definitely one of my favorites all of the album. So much show I interviewed producer Stoopid On The Beat about it and you can read it (here). The track is very heartfelt and sends out a message about the issues that come with fame, life, and being able to stay Trill and deal with the pressure. The video features his son Papi, Nicki Minaj and Meek's Dream Chasers crew. Watch it below and get his album "DWMTM (here) . Follow @MeekMill on Twitter #TheTrillest

A few nights ago I'm scrolling through Facebook and I see this video of this young man doing imitations of these legendary comedians Eddie Murphy, Katt Williams, Kevin Hart and the late Bernie Mac. These imitations are on point. I literally could not stop laughing . I always wanted to be able to do impressions but let's just say I only can do Stitch from Lilo and Stitch (the cartoon) . However Damon's impressions of multiple celebs including rapper Plies are hilarious. So check him out and stay tuned to his page for more videos.

So follow him on Instagram @dgrahamwilliams Facebook : (Here) A Benjamin Franklin once said "Energy and persistence conquer all things". It's very rare that you come across someone whose energy is so magnetizing and sharp. Kev Young of Southbridge,Ma is very confident, committed, excited, spirited, and vibrant. After watching HIS "All Night" video , purchasing the single, and of course featuring him on The Mogul Minute I had to interview him. His voice and image is charming, dominant, and refreshing. His vibe is just so elevating , pure, and genuine. I'm so happy that he is the first "The Mogul Minute" interview of 2016. Oh yes this is how you kick off 5 years of The Mogul Minute the right way. So let's get into this interview with the spectacular Kev Young right now. 1.) The Mogul Girl : What's your favorite food ? Kev Young : My favorite food would have to be pasta. Pasta is definitely my favorite but not just any kind. Chicken Parm and stuff like that but if the sauce isn't right it isn't happening. The sauce has to be A1. The sauce is everything! 2.) The Mogul Girl : So what does music mean to you? Kev Young : Music to me is ......and I don't want to sound cliche but music to me is life. Music to me is a way to express myself and I''m not trying to put a downfall on my career but let's just say I wasn't going to make it , I would still make music. Music is something I personally use to release certain emotions....every emotion to be honest. Happiness, sadness, being mad, anything. Music to me is a way to keep me sane I guess. Yeah, it's going to stick with me. I catch myself singing without even trying to.When I'm cleaning my room or just doing simple things. It's just literally something that's instilled in my life. Its just going to be there forever. 2.)The Mogul : Now your single "All Night" is super sexy and the video is too? What was it like recording the song and shooting the video? Kev Young : I definitely love the song. It was dope recording it and putting it together. I was already excited for it once everything was done. Now the video (Ahhh man) it was fun . If I could put it into any words it would have to be fun. 3.)The Mogul Girl : So tell me about your upcoming project? Kev Young : I'm still debating on what I'm putting together. I've been putting out singles with my team and they're doing well. I'm debating on what I'm going to do either an EP or an album. I might just keep dropping singles but for my upcoming projects I have a few features , a few shows, and new videos .You know, basically just networking and promoting and trying to build a name for myself. So when the labels do come my portfolio will be situated . So my upcoming projects are basically just adding new songs, videos, and features. Not to many features because I'm trying to focus on myself but the ones I will have will be prime to my upcoming success. I just have to keep the faith. I'm not cocky but I'm confident. I believe in myself we're doing for each other we have a very solid foundation and 'm just trying to get there. A lot of people don't understand you can't do this by yourself. You need a team no matter what. Every person is just as important as the artist. I feel like a lot of people forget that.Everything is important when it comes to the team. Everyone is important when it comes to yourself. 4.) The Mogul Girl : Now what are some of your favorite things to do when you are not recording? Kev Young : I play a lot of sports. I know I might seem skinny as hell but I eat a lot. So I'm always eating . Now that it's winter time I'm into snowboarding I'm an active person . I'm into snowboarding heavy. I like going to the mountains. I'm into basketball. If I'm not in the studio I'm either writing or listening to beats or doing something to keep me entertained but yeah I'm def into food. I don't know where it all goes but I love eating. 5.)The Mogul Girl : I'm from Philly and I saw that one of your inspirations are Boyz II Men. If you could've been on any Boyz II Men song which would it be and why? Kev Young :Wow! That's a good question. Damn there's so many songs from them that I would love to be apart of . That's a hard one. If I could be apart of any song I think it would've been "Song For Mama" of "Water Runs Dry" . "Song For Mama" because I'm a mama's boy to the max. I grew up with just my mom. That's my world. My heart. That's the first person that's going to benefit from this whole thing if it goes well. She gave me life. "Water Runs Dry" because that's just a dope song. It's emotional. That song is levels . It touches so many levels of emotions. I'm probably going to end up listening to another Boyz II Men song like damn I should've said that one. 6.)The Mogul Girl : What are some of the things that you value in life? Kev Young : The first thing I would say is definitely my daughter. I value her so much she taught me so much just the whole way she came about. Everything about her has been a lesson to my life, I just love her so much. I value my music. Music is very important to me. I value morals. Just having good morals.I learned in life you can't be cool with everybody. That doesn't mean you have to be a jerk for a lack of better words. I value respect a lot. You have to give respect to earn respect. I just value every little thing that I have earned or gotten to this day. I value this interview. I'm just an appreciative person. I know that things don't come easy and things don't have to happen . Nobody told you to hit me up so the fact that this interview is happening .Just everything in general I appreciate it. I value God.God has a big role in my life.I grew up in a religious scene. Even though I make secular music to be technical I still value my relationship with God. That's something I'll forever keep close to my heart. I grew up in a religious home. My mother is still very religious. She goes to prisons to preach and she's constantly praying for me. she's up everyday at 5 AM because she has a dream that I would get stabbed when I was 17 . She wakes up at 5 A.M still until this day tomorrow she's going to be up praying for me.I love that woman she's a soldier. I feel like a lot of my blessings are because of her prayers. A lot of things have been avoided. I've been in bad places and literally leave the place 5-10 minutes later and something crazy would happen. A brawl, somebody shot, something crazy , and I literally just left and its happened a handful of times . So its like I feel I got something protecting me. So it definitely has to be the prayers of my mom. 7.) The Mogul Girl : Now the ladies are going to love you, your music, and image. What do you love about the ladies? Kev Young : I'm hoping . I'm not a bad guy. I love women's honesty. I feel women are a lot like children they ain't going to tell you they like something just to tell you they like it. They're straight up. They'll say "It was cool, it was alright". I just like that women are honest. I feel that a women would be quicker to tell me "Kev that was alright you can go harder then a guy would". They're upfront. They know what they want and they know how to get it. 8.) The Mogul Girl : Now if you could be any animal for the day. Which would you be and why? Kev Young : Ohhhhl! That's a good question. There's so many . I would want to be a lion off rip just because that's the king of the jungle. That's the man el captain. My favorite animal always been a tiger. See you got me thinking crazy like animal planet. I like eagles as well. They're high in the sky, flying over everything, and they have 20/20 vision they're not missing a thing. If I had to choose one it would be definitely be a lion just to to be the real king of the jungle out here.Lions are just so dominant. When you see them, they just demand your respect. 9.)The Mogul Girl : I love all types of movies. What's your favorite movie Kev Young : I have a lot but it would have to be "All About The Benjamins". I have a lot but yeah that's my all time favorite. I could watch it 20 times and still laugh just as hard. 10.) The Mogul Girl : What's your favorite line? Kev Young : Oh my god! There's so many. You know when he's like "You know what? I'm a start goin' D'Wights 'cause you don't laugh at my jokes or nothin' . D'Wight who? D'Wight around yo lip. You know that other line when he's like "You'll never find, blum, blum, blu , blum a hairline like mine". ( Laughing ) 11.) The Mogul Girl : So what do you want The Mogul Minute and the world to know about Kev Young? Kev Young : That I'm coming with fire music, but I'm coming humble. I'm not coming in this game trying to be better than anyone else cause that's not what I make music for. I'm very humble and I just want to make a name for myself. I will make a name for myself. So to everyone my name is Kevin Gonzalez "Kev Young" I'm a singer from Southbridge,Ma and I'm coming. You will hear my music and you will see me on BET one day very soon. Just know that I appreciate the love I get and I appreciate my team.My team consist of 3 0r 4 people. Shoutout to my Agresivo Records team . I do want to mention them. Shoutout to my boy Cam Yadier . I started with Cam when I started doing Spanish music . I do have to pay some respects to my boy Cam because they played a huge role in everything. They're still playing a huge role in everything that I do as well. Cam is a very good producer. He's always in Boston but he's from where I'm from. Also shoutout to "Sure Fire Music" that got me sounding amazing. These are my people. Teamwork makes the dream work. I'm in the studio right now but I cut the session just to do the interview. It's just flattering even to have an article written up on me . This is all cool and happening so fast and I appreciate you too. Thank you I appreciate Kev Young for being such an awesome interview and just being an amazing artist. Yo Yo Ya Yo welcome to Atlanta where them players play and we ride on dem things like everyday . On the second episode of "The Rap Game" from executive producers Jermaine Dupri and Queen Latifah, Jermaine Dupri took his five young stars for a ride through Atlanta. He had them meet at the Greenbriar Mall to inform them of their next challenge. He informed them that he was taking them for a ride through Atlanta and that they had to write a rap about what they saw, and then rap about it tomorrow in booth. So, Jermaine Dupri showed them Cameron Rd where Kriss Kross and Outkast are from, the famous Cascade Skating Ring, Old National Highway and then he showed them his childhood home which he said he hasn't been to in 20 years. He let the young artist know he started producing when he was 14 and he recorded TLC and Kriss Kross there. During the kids tour through the A their parents were back at the house wondering what they were up to. Once the kids got back on the trolley Jermaine Dupri turned on the beat produced by Mike Kalombo. So these five artist had their notepads out an pens flying. Jermaine Dupri questioned Lil Poopy because he fell asleep during the ride back home ( Awwww man) . I think it was so cool that Jermaine showed them around the Atlanta and I thought this was a really dope challenge . Once they arrived back to the house they let their parents know about their day in the A. Supa Peach let her sister know that a writing challenge had taken place and Precious Peach her sister tweaked her verse a little bit. The other artist are already questioning if Supa Peach writes her own raps. Miss Mulatto , Young Lyric, and Lil Niqo were definitely ready to hit the booth. So for the second part of the challenge Jermaine Dupri has the kids come to South Side Studio (where Mariah Carey , Bow Wow, and so many top artist have recorded) . So Mike Kalombo , Rufus Morgan, and Jermaine Dupri have each artist come in to record their song, Young Lyric goes first and you could definitely tell she was coming out of her shell and a more confident then she was the week before (because she didn't feel that #5 spot was acceptable). So Jermaine's advice to her was to slow down and to have clarity. Young Lyric was happy because she wrote the verse herself without her dad to critique it. You GO GIRL!! Lil Poopy hit the booth and started rapping his verse with the same lyrics that he spit during his challenge last week. Of course Jermaine Dupri stopped him and had to check him about his verse before he finished his song. Lil Niqo flow and delivery was on point he even dropped his notebook but he didn't really include the things he saw during the tour. Miss Mulatto came in the booth with a verse a hook and her confidence was just super high. Mike Kalombo asked Supa Peach to spit before she got in the booth and him and Rufus didn't feel that she wrote her verse. So they had her go get her book and then rap in the booth. I think this was a very creative challenge. It showed their on the spot ability to write, rap, and perform in the studio. So it's time for Jermain Dupri's hit list. Jermaine Dupri is straight up with these kids and their parents . He's letting them know "The Rap Game' isn't a game and that they have to be serious about everything.Producer Mike Kolombo joined Jermaine to assist Jermaine during his critique.
1-Miss Mulatto (Delivered an actual song) 2 Young Lyric (Mike Kolombo said she was shy but she turned up Jermaine and Mike said she just has to articulate and be more clear) 3 Lil Niqo (Sounded very professional but his verse could've included more about what he saw) 4 Supa Peach (They found out Precious Peach her big sister helps with her raps) 5 Lil Poopy (He fell asleep on the bus and he reused his rap) Jermaine Dupri is letting these young stars and there parents know that they have to be serious, on point, and be able to handle these task because time is money and this business is important. He also said "Its nothing wrong with being a songwriter or helping with lyrics because he wrote tons of songs for other artist". He just wants these young stars to be able to write, deliver, and perform like a true artist. So week #2 was definitely a really big challenge for them. We are six weeks away from finding out which one of these talented young artist earned their spot on Jermaine Dupri's So So Def record label. F.Y.I Immediately after the show you know I had to go play Jermaine Dupri's "Welcome To Atlanta" ft Ludacris video on full blast. So make sure you watch "The Rap Game" next week Friday at 10PM/9C. Mr.West is in the building! Last Friday Kanye released "Facts" (which is fire by the way) and today he released "Real Friends" & "No More Parties in LA " featuring Kendrick Lamar . The intro is produced by Kanye and the track is by Madlib. In other words Kanye is in his zone. "Real Friends" is so straight up . The songs content embodies numerous real life situations that we can relate to. How many of us are looking for real friends? How many of us only get contacted when people need something? Can we trust the people we called friends or even family sometimes ? Do you have people that are jealous because you're during your own thing? Had to change your number because people are so fake? Bad energy from people you use to roll with heavy? Man I love this song. Kanye even talks about having to pay his cousin $250,000 to get his laptop back. "No More Parties in LA" featuring Kendrick Lamar is a dope. Check out both songs below. Kanye is in his zone !!!!! #KanyeZoneFridays.
First "Zoe Ever After" premiers on BET and then Brandy releases her new single "Beggin & Pleadin"! Tonight is all that and a bag a chips! Brandy's new single "Beggin & Pleadin" is jazzy , soulful, fresh, funky, and it's so B-Rocka! So now we are definitely begging and pleading for a sixth album from the multi award winning songstress and actress. Brandy is absolutely beautiful and she's truly one of my inspirations. I remember having her debut album "Brandy" on cassette and at 24 a Saturday watching episodes of Moesha and eating pizza sounds perfect to me. I am so happy and proud of Brandy. Her new role as Zoe on "Zoe Ever After" is stylish, sassy, funny, and she's taking charge and balancing motherhood, her career, and relationships. In other words (inserts beat) the real champ is here and she's here to win. Watch "Zoe Ever After" on BET Tuesdays at 10PM/9C .

Mogul Jermaine Dupri launched his new show "The Rap Game" on the Lifetime network. As an award winning producer, rapper, and writer Jermaine Dupri is an essential part of the music industry. Over the years he has put tons of work in the industry and definitely knows what it takes to be a top artist in the game. Jermaine Dupri hand picked five young artist Lil Niqo, Young Lyric, Lil Poopy, Supa Peach, and Miss Mulatto to compete for a spot on his label So So Def. These young artist have gained thousands and millions of views online, collaborated with celebrities, toured, and have gained a strong following on social media. These kids are definitely talented. For eight weeks the kids and their parents/managers will live together . On the first episode Jyn Flowers (assistant to Jermaine Dupri) informed the kids that her boss was waiting for them . The kids and their parents headed over to T.I' s restaurant Scales 925 in Atlanta. When the kids arrived they met T.I and then the kids were introduced to the celebrity judge panel which included Brian Michael Cox, Da Brat, Polow Da Don, Johnte Austin, and Mike Kalambo. Then Jermaine dropped the bomb that the kids had to freestyle on the spot. Although the kids were surprised each of them stepped up to the plate and dropped a quick verse for the judges. The Rap isn't all glitz and glamour and you have to work your way up. o Jermaine Dupri informed them all that they would be interns . He gave each of the youth a task. During their task each kid was paired with a certain mentor. For example Lil Niqo was paired with Ludacris and Supa Peach was paired with Jyn Flowers (Jermaine Dupri's assistant) . During their task they had to rap about what they were doing .How well these kids do all count towards Jermaine Dupri's hit list. Each week he'll rank each kid from 1-5 and let's just say you want that number 1 spot.
The first week hit list went like this 5- Lyrikk 4-Lil Niqo 3-Lil Poopy 2-Miss Mulatto 1-Supa Peach The show is interesting and the kids definitely have work to put in. I interviewed Lil Niqo when he was 10 and had dropped his record "Okay Then" so its so cool to see him at 16 following his dreams and 1Mama Mogul is right by his side (you can listen here) . I also have been tuned into Young Lyric's upcoming as well. I commend all the young kids for aiming for their dreams and not giving up. So make sure you watch "The Rap Game" each week to see what happens next and find out whom is going to get that spot on Jermaine's "So So Def" label. Happy Mogul Minute New Year everyone. 2015 felt like a cameo. You know made a quick appearance and then boom 2016 took over the show. I don't know about you all but last year was a huge learning experience. Well every year is a learning experience but 2015 was a very trying year. Yet I am so happy we have all stepped into 2016 with a new mind, new attitude, new outlook on life, and goals to be our best selves ( at least I hope you did). In numerology 16 represents self determination , wisdom, intuitive, family, pursuing goals, and completing them. Oh yes honey! 2016 is the year to get it done. Whatever it is you've been dreaming about or pondering on this is the year. I am so ready to continue to allow God to move in a major way in my life and in yours too. I will be celebrating the 5th anniversary of The Mogul Minute this year, At 24 years old I am so proud of what I have accomplished and I'm looking forward to what's to come. When God gives you an idea and a gift it's not meant for anyone but you. No matter who tries to imitate or copy. There's only one me and there's only one you. So at the end of the day choose to be you. Don't just follow cause it's easy or because you are scared your original thoughts will fail. Go ahead do your own thing (laughs). It's okay believe in yourself just a little bit harder, work those thinking caps. Be unique, be different. Word on the street is an original is always better than a copy. There's so many awesome incredible things that are on the way you have no idea. This year stop being afraid to speak up. Say what you have to. Don't just let people walk all over you. Stop letting people take advantage of you. Don't let another year go by and you haven't done anything that counts toward your dreams and goals. Everyday work a little bit more towards your vision. Speaking of vision if getting in shape and healthy is your vision . Oh goodness! I have some great news for you. I've partnered with Total Life Changes and I've been using their all natural products and I've been having amazing results. I love you all! I am so thankful that The Mogul Minute is world-wide. I have created something that is epic. That is great and that is iconic. I love The Mogul Minute and I'm glad to be The Mogul Girl. I started The Mogul Minute. I founded it! I coined the phrase. I find it pitiful that others are trying to use the phrase and copy The Mogul Girl and The Mogul Minute name and brand. As I said before there is only one me. I don't find the imitation flattering at all. Again use those thinking caps and make your own name and brand. I feel proud because I created my own lane and I want you all to feel the same way about your dreams and goals. At the end of the day I am thankful for my gifts and talents and I am thankful for family and friends and of course love.
