Mogul Morning! While some of you were sleeping Miguel was partying the night away WildHeart Motel Style. The superstar singer announced earlier that he was going to be streaming live tonight on WildHeartMotel.Com via Periscope and he wanted everyone to check in. It's 3 AM in Philly and I'm wide awake so why not join in on the fun. So I'm literally at a Miguel concert/party from my house (lol). How freaking awesome is that? Miguel turned up, in his smooth, alluring, rock soul way. Isn't it cool that no matter where you are in the world you can attend Miguel's private party. He invited all his wild hearts to party with him, his gorgeous fiance Nazanin ( who is being recognized by Ciroc's Women Making Power Moves..Congrats!! ), his super fly friends, and the beautiful girl whose album "ANTI" went platinum yesterday ..RIhanna. If you haven't gotten the memo yet, just know the WildHeart Motel was the place to be. During the video Miguel said "Wildheart Motel is all about living in the moment, embracing the surreal, and allowing whatever your imagination brings to you to inspire conversation. I miss conversation I miss people with imagination. I feel like its missing so much now with creativity. That's why we did this thing at a secret location where I was born and raised". Beautiful words. It's true creativity, imagination, conversation, love, no judgement, and inspiration is what keeps art, life, dreams, love and happiness alive. Of course Miguel danced with his fiance, performed some more , passed the mic to his friends and then let his band rock out. Miguel and Rihanna even performed "My Girl " together. Wow what a super cool party? And We all know after the stremed party it's the after party. So make sure you get Miguel's incredibly magical album "Wild Heart" (Here) and listen to his song "Waves" ft Travis Scott . Check out what happened at the Wild Heart Motel

Woo! Finally Rihanna's eighth studio album "ANTI" is here . The Navy went crazy the other day when Rihanna posted a selfie wearing Dolce & Gabbana x Frends golden crowned headphones with the caption "Listening to ANTI". This definitely set social media on fire . Then yesterday she released her single "Work" featuring Drake . Everyone was jamming out to the upbeat-spunky track and what a surprise she released the full "ANTI" album last night on TIDAL. Since it's release the album has been streamed over 13 million times. ( Round of applause and a twerk for Rih-Rih) . "ANTI" is very edgy, groovy, original, daring, animated, and hypnotic. Her features SZA and Drake are great choices and the beats are blazing. The vibes on this 13 track project range from somber, to Yeah I Said It , to straight fierce and savage unapologetic boldness. Although Rihanna is straight forward ANTI has a mysterious addictive flavor. ANTI takes us a little higher into Rih's #uRIHverse. Her voice is sultry, spicy, strong, and classically sexy. I'm definitely loving that she went against all the rules and did things her own way darlin. #ANTI has it's own direction and the NAVY definitely got the message and the navy definitely approves.

THE MOGUL MINUTE : URBAN REPUBLIC " KILLA CITY STATE OF MIND" MIXTAPE REVIEW ( THE MOGUL GIRL )1/27/2016
A few months ago I interviewed "Urban Republic" members Dewey Da Don and Novacain for The Mogul Minute. These two rappers released a project called "Killa City State Of Mind". The project is fascinating and gnarly. Both artist expressed their emotions on each track.
1. Urban Republic -" Killa City"- ft Shaka produced by LexiBanks [ This track will definitely get you in your zone. Although this is a smooth track the lyrics are hard and definitely is a track you can vibe out to] 2. Urban Republic - Heavy Artillery -feat Fly D'antoni produced by LexiBanks [ Urban Repubic shot a video for this track. This is a dope song. You can turn up to it. This record is tough and its booming. It's heavyyyyyyy] 3.Urban Republic - Distorted Portraits -produced by Scott Supreme [ This is my favorite track on the mixtape. It's really heart felt. If you've ever felt like you were being boxed in and people didn't get your message. You'll love this track. It talks about the ups and downs of life and how sometimes it's just so hard . However you change and you realize that other people don't see you the way you see you. So all in all you have to be unapologetic and just be you. No matter how much people hate] 4.Urban Republic - Trillion [Is a track for the ladies. The girls will definitely like this one. It's hot! The guys talk about how the chick they're talking to is the one and what they'll do for and to them. So ladies this is might be one you keep on repeat.] 5.Urban Republic - Blur- Feat Jr produced by Yung Exclusive [ I can definitely see a video for this track. Its catchy and it just rides right through the speakers. They definitely rocked this track. It's a wild. I like this one a lot too. ] 6.Urban Republic -What You Know About It -produced by LexiBanks [ Discusses pain . I definitely felt this track . We all deal with pain that not evening the ones closest to us know we are dealing with. This track they discuss fatherhood, hustling , having an incarcerated prison , baby mama drama, issues with life that others don't know about, foolish choices, and dealing with someone who cheated, and not being able to trust . This songs touches on a lot of subjects that the listeners can relate too.] Urban Republic definitely have an independent grind and Killa City State of Mind. The mixtape should definitely be in your playlist . Urban Republic did their thing and the production is good and the features are dope. Currently I just finished some writing and I'm auto- streaming videos on YouTube. All of a sudden this captivating and lovely voice starts playing through my Beats By Dre . I open the screen to see this gorgeous lady by the name of Joelle. Her voice is A-1. The lyrics to this song are so deep. She's singing about regretting a past love and wanting to take back the time she spent with them and not ever loving them. However even though she acts like she doesn't care, in a way she still cares. Have you been in a situation when you wanted to take back your love and you felt like you made a mistake? Have you ever just wanted to delete that person from your life, memory, and heart but their presence still lingers ? Wow! This song is engaging and genuine. I'm rooting for this girl right here. Huge shout out to you Joelle.

Yassin Bey is it okay if I call you Mos Def? I heard your "No More Parties In S.A" freestyle , the message that you are being detained in Cape Town South Africa, and that you are releasing your last album this year and retiring. My heart dropped. I began to think why or how can they stop the Travellin Man ? A man with so much power, intelligence, knowledge, and impact can not be let back into the country where he was born and raised. S/o to your city Brooklyn . I use to stay up at night to watch you on "Def Poetry Jam" and see you rip the stage every time. I remember I wanted to be on that show and be able to share my writing with world. Anyway I'm sure you heard that there's a crisis going on in Flint Michigan and their water is full of chemicals and toxins that are making them ill they can't even bathe, cook with, or drink the water. I wrote an article on "New World Water" because it reminded me of the very situations you talked about on that song back in 1999 and it's 2016 . Black On Both Sides is still one of the greatest albums of all time. I remember thinking that maybe if you were my math teacher, that all the mathematics would make sense. How many times did I watch "Brown Sugar" and vibe out to your performance? You said I got two words for the world "Be Prepared". "Brown Sugar" the song is still beautifully written and you made everyone feel it from the the ceiling to the ground floor. Man you are hip hop. Listening to "Fear Not Of Man" and hearing you say "God is sufficient over plans they prepared". On your new message you said " This is not an expression of fear this is just to make things clear, my intentions were pure in coming here and that's for everything I love or hold dear. Umi's in the building and so is my wife and my children. I've committed no crime why is the state wasting my time. They must be out of their mind. I forgive them that's the spirit of divine. I just want to go where I'm wanted where I'm loved stop fronting. Where I live is my choice. You can not mute my voice". No your voice cannot be muted ever . Your whole life is real, morning, noons and night is real, what you spit and write is real . You reached the world but touched the streets first. Your street- telligence is cherished. Thank you! Stay strong. I pray that everything changes and that you are allowed to leave and live where you choose. No crime, no logical reason, false claims stating that your traveling document a ( World Passport) is fictitious? You said "It’s been accepted here in South Africa on numerous occasions as early as 1996 and as late as 2015. So honestly it doesn't add up why you can't leave. Stay mighty! "Faith is the arrow". Your views, lyrics, and topics you've spoken on carry weight. You linking up with the incredible Talib Kweli will forever be epic. Waiting for the album! You are truly one of the illest world wide!

Jermaine Dupri is making it clear that you have to put your all into the rap game. This week Jermaine Dupri tested the kids on their ability to follow direction, and pay attention. It's week four and everyone wants that number one spot. There's a little tension in the house. The parents want the best for the kids so they are definitely rooting for their superstar to come out on top. Jermaine Dupri and his assistant Jyn brought the kids to Dance 411 Studious in Atlanta for a dance workshop with choreographer Sean Bankhead. Sean Bankhead has worked with Beyonce, Ciara, OMG Girlz , and Diddy just to name a few. The girls were excited about this class but the guys not so much. Sean Bankhead taught the kids a routine and then they had to perform for Jermaine Dupri. Despite the challenge Lil Niqo still participated in the class. Nique and Lil Niqo's bond is so strong and to hear her discuss Lil Niqo's medical condition and how he still managed to pull through. That's real love. She works hard for her son and he works hard for his mom. Jermaine Dupri viewed the class and told the boys they have to step it up. He said "Everything that the artist do is written in pen and it pencil it's forever". After Jermaine's Dupri's workout the kids went home to rest. For day two Jermaine Dupri took the kids to a focus group where they were the object of focus. So Jermaine Dupri and Jyn had a group of kids judge their fellow peers on their image, music, and video. These kids were very opinionative and made it clear how they felt about each artist. The artist, Jermaine Dupri, and the parents sat back and watched the kids tell Jyn their likes and dislikes. The girls thought Lil Niqo was cute and he did good . Lil Poopy had a good style but they felt his song sucked. They liked Young Lyric's style and they loved her video. They liked Miss Mulatto's flow, and they loved Supa Peach flow, style, video and said that they would but her music. With critiques from their peers the kids headed back to the house for Jermaine Dupri's
"HIT LIST" This weeks hit list 1-Supa Peach 2- Lil Niqo 3-Miss Mulatto 4-Young Lyric 5-Lil Poopy It's official we are four weeks from Jermaine Dupri picking his next So So Def artist. It's getting exciting and the pot is stirring. These kids want that record deal. At this point they're working hard for it. Jermaine Dupri still wants to make sure that the can take criticism, shake off my haters, and continue to see if they are truly a brand. Stay tuned to #TheRapGame THE MOGUL MINUTE : THE #INSPIRATIONATOR KEVIN HART IS TAKING OVER THE WORLD (THE MOGUL GIRL)1/22/2016
Father, mogul, entrepreneur, writer, actor, comedian, inspirationator (he dubbed himself that today on Periscope ) , motivator, and the man with the plan to take over the world Kevin Hart is going to dominate 2016. His new movie "Ride Along 2" starring Ice Cube is currently in theaters world-wide. The movie has already accumulated over 41.5 million dollars (BALLIN) . Kevin Hart is currently on Periscope with The Plastic Cup Boyz and his publicist Haley Hileman before his sold out " What Now Tour " show in Dublin. Yes, Kevin Hart is backstage chatting with his fans and playing Guts the card game with his friends before showtime. (Isn't technology cool?) . When a supporter asked does he get nervous? He responded "I love to make people happy and laugh so I go out there and make people be happy". When Kevin was asked by one of his friend's how he felt about being the first comedian to have a sneaker deal? He said " I wanted to build a relationship with the biggest sports company and make them see my vision and bring people together and make people better and now I got a platform to do it". Three minutes until showtime and Kevin Hart held the camera as he put on his jean jacket and headed to stage . You always can get a good laugh, motivation, and some realness from Mr.Hart . At one point during the Periscope he discussed The Oscars. One of the points he made was that he's in the business because he loves what he does and loves to entertain. He also said "My hats off to those that were nominated now and in the past but I refuse to let a trophy dictate where I am in my career or validate where I am in my career . We're here to entertain. There are more important things going in the world like what's happening in Flint. Let's talk about Michigan". However we all know Kevin Hart is going to win tons of awards and his fans world-wide are going to continue to support him. Honestly It was so cool and motivating to hear the roar from the crowd as Kevin Hart walked on stage and showed his fans screaming and so excited he was on stage (17,000 people) !!!!!!! The "What Now Tour" is international . So Kevin had to let the world see how many people in Dublin came out to support him and then he told the viewers "I gotta go to work". Well alright ..alright..alright.. get to work Kevin Hart! Seeing Kevin Hart reach the level of success he has reached and for his reign to continue is truly encouraging. Nine years ago when I was 15 Kevin Hart was hosting the Charlie Mack Celebrity Weekend Basketball Game. My cousins, the entire crowd, and I could not stop laughing at his jokes . So to see his rise to the top and to see him representing for our city "Philly" is truly mogul and epic. Congratulations on all your success and congrats on your upcoming wedding with fiance Eniko. Huge shout out to The Plastic Cup Boyz (Comedian Spank is also starring on the "What Now Tour") , For tickets make sure you visit

Drum roll please Ebro Darden just premiered K.Michelle's new song "Not A Little Bit" on Beats 1 on Apple Music . Ebro says K.Michelle plays the piano, is classically trained, and ranges her own music. The song is sincere, expressive, and fervid. K.Michelle refers to leaving a relationship because the love is not enough and she'd rather be by herself. There's no arguing, and realizes going back was a mistake, and there's no going changes that. She's finished!! K.Michelle third album "I Ain't White But I Hope You Like" releases soon. I have a feeling this is going to be a very deep and super passionate album from the beautiful songstress. So if you love you some K make sure you watch her show "K.Michelle: My Life" which premiers January 25,2016 at 9:30 VH1.

Michelle's new single "Not A Little Bit" on iTunes http://smarturl.it/NotALittleBit Download on Google Play - http://smarturl.it/NotALittleBitGP Amazon: http://smarturl.it/NotALittleBitAmazon Either we all change or we all fall - Tupac There's so much going on in the world and instead of separating we need to continue to unify. In this interview of Tupac ( I've searched for this entire video but I can't find it) however this footage is so powerful. There's positive and heartbreaking things occurring that really need to change. The water crisis in Flint Michigan is stomach turning and from numerous articles posted today (we've learned this issue could have been prevented) but to see people uniting to send water and money to help the situation is incredible . Meek Mill has donated sending 60k bottles of JUST Water to the Food Bank of Eastern Michigan . Motivational writer/speaker/entrepreneur Nehemiah Davis of Philadelphia has started a mission #Philly2Flint to send 10,000 waters to help with the men, women , and children of the city. Meanwhile this crisis is going on the issue of diversity at this years 88th annual Academy Awards has gained tons of attention. Numerous celebrities, directors, bloggers, etc have expressed their opinions and feelings about the lack of African American people being nominated and awarded for their work in the entertainment industry. ( I believe people should be honored for their hard work whether they're are a platinum selling artist, an incredible actor, or the top employee at your local fast food restaurant) . However in this vintage interview of Tupac he mentioned some very important statements about Hollywood. Indeed if we make a change in America as a nation and as people things will also change in other areas. Yes we should be honored for our work in the industry instead of just being "entertainers" however we also need to realize that we as people no matter what race should be treated equally . The ultimate goal is to have peace in all forms and areas. I agree with Tupac's statement that it is time for "America to see how they look at minorities". We have faced racial injustice for years on multiple levels. Yes, there are some incredible films directed by, written by, and featuring some very incredible African American entertainers and for none of them to be nominated this year is outrageous and that definitely needs to change . The impact that the celebrities have showed for this matter received a quick response from Academy President Cheryl Boone Isaacs . Which only shows that if we come together more often about events and issues we can not only get a response but also a positive actual effect that could possibly change the negativity. Listen to the points Pac emphasized in this interview years ago . It's 2016 and it's official we need to realize that "Either we change or we all fall". "We gotta make a change... It's time for us as a people to start makin' some changes. Let's change the way we eat, let's change the way we live and let's change the way we treat each other. You see the old way wasn't working so it's on us to do what we gotta do, to survive". - Tupac
Remember the song "New World Water" on the 1999 album "Black On Both Sides" by Mos Def ? It probably went over your head but it's time to revisit this song. This track speaks volumes and mutually relates to exactly what's happening today in Flint Michigan, and numerous other cities, states, and countries around the globe. Although the Flint Water Crisis is currently getting attention in 2016 and people are just becoming aware of this issue Flint has been dealing with this problem for years, dating back to 2001 and 2002. We all know that we need water to survive but how can we if the water is being poisoned with harsh chemicals that are leading to illnesses such as lead poisoning, illnesses, cancer, autism, and even death. The Huffington Post shared this very informative article about how this information was withheld and and how this issue was mismanaged by so many important officials . You can read it here . You can go on Instagram for personal updates #FilntWaterCrisis for personal updates of people in Flint. What's happening there is horrible and it needs to be fixed immediately.
Dr.Martin Luther King Jr., once said "Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter". The album landed Meek Mill a #1 spot on the US Billboard 200. After the release Twitter and Instagram was buzzing about his track "The Trillest". That track is definitely one of my favorites all of the album. So much show I interviewed producer Stoopid On The Beat about it and you can read it (here). "Just to come to get a taste of this A.T.L style
I'm the M.B.P., Most Ballin-ist Player Make my own moves, call me the mayor" - Jermaine Dupri Jermaine Dupri knows style, image, and branding is so critical in ones career. For a total of eight weeks he's sharing so many important rules with his chosen five young artist. Three weeks into The Rap Game , mogul Jermaine Dupri has been straight forward and hasn't pulled any punches with his five young stars or their parents. In Week 1 the kids learned that they had to be prepared for anything that's thrown at them and be able to complete a task. In Week 2 the kids learned the importance of paying attention and being able to keep it real and hit the studio to make a track about what they experienced. This week (week #3) the kids learned about style, image, and following instructions. These are key staples in becoming a star and building a brand. This week Jermaine flew in his stylist April Roomet to assist the kids with their photo shoots. April has styled numerous celebs for 20 years including Lauryn Hill, Bow Wow, and Snoop Dogg, This weeks assignment Jermaine Dupri let the kids know they were going on a shopping spree. You should have seen the excitement in the room! However it all changed when the van pulled up to a GoodWill and April handed each of them $30.00 to get an outfit for a shoot that best represents them. Jermaine Dupri and April expressed to these kids that these looks were important because they could be used to sell their brand or preferably be an album cover one day,so getting a great outfit was the main focus. Lil Poopy said "Jermaine Dupri has like billions of dollars he could've at least gave us $80.00" ( I was cracking up Lil Poopy is so adorable) but Jermaine Dupri said he personally needs to know that these kids can work within a budget and still come out with something fresh. Once they got the green light the kids were off to the races to rack up on some stylish threads. Once their shopping spree was over at cash out time each of the kids stayed on budget except for Supa Peach. Supa Peache's mom Mama Peach slid a few extra bucks the cashiers way to complete her purchase. At check out Nique, Jyn (Jermaine Dupri's Assistant, and April spotted her and took it into account to inform Jermaine Dupri. The shopping spree completed and the kids and their parents prepped for their shoot the next day. Let's just say the kids had an array of different styles, colors, and themes . Miss Mulatto had a futuristic style going on, Young Lyric wanted to keep it country, Supa Peach stayed on her unique swag, Lil Niqo wanted to keep it West, and Lil Poopy wanted to be swaggalicious. Each of the kids were ready to get their pose on and rock out for their pictures. April questioned each of them about the items they were wearing and which pieces actually came from Goodwill. Some of them only had 1 or 2 pieces from the store and added their pre-owned items to complete their look. After they posed in their outfits April gave them a custom outfit that she chose. Once this task was officially over the kids headed back home and April headed to meet with Jermaine Dupri. They reviewed all the photos together and then it was time for Jermain's Hit List. During the time Jermaine and April were reviewing the photos with the kids Supa Peach was rapping and Jermaine and April took it as disrespect.
