PixMob is an amazing innovative and genius company. I was introduced to PixMob two years ago at Oprah's "Life You Want Tour" in Washington, D.C. The experience was unforgettable and I couldn't stop talking about the interactive wrist band to my family, friends, and associates. After getting in touch with the Director of Marketing & Communications Laeitia Bedout, and interviewing Commercial Director Jean Olivier Dalphond let's just say I fell in love with the whole idea of PixMob and their mission to connect infuse, light, creativity, technology and social media with giant crowds. The beautifully talented Taylor Swift incorporated PixMob into her 1989 World Tour. If you didn't get to attend maybe you watched her performance on the Grammy's a few weeks ago .The audience had glowing PixMob wristbands as they jammed out to Taylor's opening performance. Taylor Swift's 1989 World Tour consisted of 84 shows, 86 guest, stars, 54 cities, and 10 countries and guess what everyone whom attended was wearing a PixMob wristband. I attended the Philadelphia show at Financial Field with my family and there were 50,000 people in attendance. Not only were the lights beautifully in sync with Taylor's rock star performance but everyone loved the multiple color effects of the the wrist bands. I had the amazing opportunity to meet PixMob Project Manager Sophie Blondeau at the show. It's official if you all haven't noticed I love PixMob and the products and their consistency and innovative new ideas. PixMob just launched their new project "Spark by Pix Mob". PixMob has created countless immersive experiences world wide, connecting audiences directly to the show with pulsating lights in sync with the sound. Participants become a part of each uniquely designed event. For the first time, PixMob brings these tools to you, putting the control completely into your hands and letting you create such unforgettable interactive experiences for your guest. Now it's official you can have PixMob in your home or throw a party in which you control the lights and effects. How cool is that? I reviewed the products and I am 1000% sure not only will you love it and become a triple PixMob fan but you'll you become a PixMob love for life. Sitting in my home using my iPhone to control my PixMob wristband is one of the coolest experiences ever . I interviewed Digital Marketing Specialist Sylvain Ottle all about "Spark" . So check it out below 1.) The Mogul Girl : Why did PixMob decide to create the Spark App? Sylvain Ottle : Fill the smaller event gaps. We were mainly working with organizations requesting 10K wrist bands and more. The focus was to be able to offer the product for smaller events and make the PixMob experience more accessible for personal gatherings - weddings, family parties, celebrations, smaller corporate event . People can now control and create their own experience. Take connectivity to a whole new level. 2.) The Mogul Girl : Technology is changing everyday what plans do you have for PixMob? Sylvain Ottle : - Wearable technology and internet of things are what we are diving into. -Move towards more bi- directional interaction between audience and performer as well as between people in the crowd. -A lot is going to come up this year in terms of fun and new products but we will keep it a surprise a little bit longer. We will keep you guys posted. 3.) The Mogul Girl : What's your favorite thing about Spark App? Sylvain Ottle : Spark uses blue tooth technology instead of infrared ( bigger events technology) . We are able to provide a IOS app to control your own light show. Which makes our experience accessible to a smaller crowd. 4.) What was your first PixMob experience? Sylvain Ottle : The Superbowl- Halftime show was my first PixMob experience and what a great memory. 5.) The Mogul Girl : Do you have a particular place, event, or artist you want to see incorporate PixMob into their set? Sylvain Ottle : Difficult question as we have been working already with a lot of great artists and companies. Personally being a French immigrant in QC, I would like to see a project involving Helico drop from the Eiffel Tower. 6.) The Mogul Girl: You are a business man what are some important business tips that one should keep in mind? Sylvain Ottle : Keep improving our core technology. That is what PixMob values most. Always trying to be ahead of our competitor and clients wishes/ requests. And foremost provide the best user experience we can. Always create a new wow factor. 7.)What's your biggest dream for PixMob? Sylvain Ottle : That's related to question 5. 8.) The Mogul Girl : What if the batteries go out in the wrist band can they be used with Spark App again? Sylvain Ottle : Yes, you can change the battery and use it all over again. Our wristband have a 3-4 hour capabilities at full solid colors and up to 6hrs using lighter effects . 9.) The Mogul Girl : Whats your favorite color ? Sylvain Ottle : I would say the shimmer effect and using light blue color. 10.) The Mogul Girl : Is there anything special you want The Mogul Minute readers to know ? Sylvain Ottle : You will be able to control your Bluetooth-enabled LED wristbands with the PixMob SPARK app either by letting the app do all the work in AUTOMATIC mode while you enjoy the party with your guests, or taking full control of all the effects in MANUAL mode. * Automatic: In this beat-responsive mode you can simply play music directly from you device or place it in front of your sound system's speakers. After selecting three of your favourite colours (millions of colours available) watch everyone’s wristband magically light up to the beat. * Manual: If you enjoy being in complete control of your show, this highly responsive manual mode is for you. By changing the colour, effect, and chance you can create stunning light shows that your guests will never forget. Effects: Solid, strobe, pulse 11. ) The Mogul Girl : What do you love the most about PIXMOB ? Sylvain Ottle : The PixMob team and workmates are what makes our life at work incredible. PixMob is all about working efficiently with having fun. Huge shoutout to PixMob everyone from the company I've come in contact with ha been amazing and so passionate. I'm so excited and can't wait to see what's next. Congrats PixMob on the launch of Spark. Instagram videos of me testing out the Spark App / wristbands

My heart is still beating heavy with pride, my spirit is forever moved, and fists are raised high cheering for Kendrick Lamar. His performance at the 58th annual Grammy Awards was exactly what America and the world needed to see and hear. I've seen so many articles that read his performance was controversial or not appropriate for TV. However in my mind what's not appropriate is the injustice of the legal system, the multiple murders of African American men, women, and children at the hands of police, mass incarceration, racism, discrimination from jobs, the lack of support of African Americans in entertainment , gentrification, poverty, and slavery are controversial however it's reality for African Americans. Kendrick Lamar used his opportunity and platform to highlight these problems in front of millions Sunday night. The visuals Kendrick displayed during his set were beyond powerful and strong
- Kendrick walked on stage chained with other black men chained and behind a cell for his performance of "The Blacker The Berry" (Symbolized slavery and mass incarceration) I attended a natural hair convention two years ago and I touched real chains that were used during slavery times. The weight made my mother and I teary eyed. Just to know that our ancestors walked with these on for miles. Also the man that played the saxaphone during his set also showed how much talent is hidden behind bars. -Then he performed "Alright" accompanied by men in women adorned in African tribal wear . They did a native dance in front of a bonfire . The men from the previous set were unchained and dance along with them . (Symbolizing that we as African and African Americans are one and no matter what we are going to be alright). Kendrick Lamar also performed another song "Untitled 3". The lyrics represented heart , power, and respect. They are Hiiipower words that elated a heavy message. Overall seven time Grammy award winner Kendrick Lamar let it be known that although African Americans deal with numerous issues we are proud to be black. He even displayed "Compton" over a outline of Africa. This was not only a tribute to both but another message symbolized "HOME". Congrats Kendrick on your five Grammy's for "To Pimp A Butterfly" Purchase it (Here)

The number eight is said to be spiritual , material, goal oriented, and authoritative. Kanye West released his eighth album February 14,2015. After posting the abbreviation T.L.O.P the other day on Twitter and having social media try to figure it out . Kanye announced his album entitled "The Life Of Pablo". On Thursday Kanye West held his album release and Yeezy Season 3 showcase at Madison Square Garden in New York City.
(Kanye Sold Out Madison Garden For A Mega-Listening Party And Fashion Show). Kanye's new album is currently streaming on TIDAL. The album is demiurgical, inspiring, theatrical, leading edge, chimerical, animated, and high-spirited. Straight up, personally "I Love Kanye" for this album. Not only is the production sensational but the features are astounding. Kanye is definitely in his zone. The album from beginning to end is a movie. Kanye might get an Oscar for this one. This album is "Ultralight Beam" worthy . Ye must have said "Father Stretch Out My Hands" for Pt 1 and "Pt2" of this album. Although Ye is super "Famous" he shares his "Feedback" on the industry and life in his music. "Low Lights" turned to "Highlight" because Kanye lit lyrics smashed every beat. Ye definitely hit a "Freestyle 4" the people that say "I Love Kanye". We definitely feel these "Waves" .This album rides so hard. Even though sometimes it's like "FML" we have to thank God for our "Real Friends" because there are "Wolves" in sheep clothing and we always have to stay focused. What's more precious than silver and gold ? If you don't know this answer you might have to take a "Silver Surfer Intermission". Wow I bet you the world listens to #TheLifeOfPablo within "30 Hours". Although Kanye said "No More Parties In L.A." I definitely want to turn up whenever I visit L.A (lol). Check the "Facts" Kanye is the man, straight up. You can't "Fade" greatness. S/o To Kanye for #TheLifeOfPablo. Follow Kanye On Twitter @KanyeWest . This album is past lit, this album is sirius ( if you study astrology) you'll get this one. Romeo Miller released his new video for his song
"Ask About Me" directed by Philly Fly Boy. Romeo just wrapped the season of "Growing Up Hip Hop" on We TV two days ago. "Ask About Me" has a catchy feel. Romeo is currently in the studio working on new music. Stay tuned to his grind by following him on Instagram @RomeoMiller You can also catch Romeo in the film "Brotherly Love". I also got be apart of this film shot by Jahmall Hill here in Philadelphia. Political activist, scholar, and author Angela Davis once said "Progressive art can assist people to learn not only about the objective forces at work in the society in which they live, but also about the intensely social character of their interior lives. Ultimately, it can propel people toward social emancipation". Beyonce's new song and video "Formation" is not just art. The song sends a very strong message that high lights women's rights, injustice against minorities, and financial freedom. Of course Queen B always surprises us. Remember when she released her "Beyonce" album in 2013? She made the world stop and Yonce has done it again. Her song/video "Formation" released on TIDAL a day before her Pepsi Superbowl Halftime performance. Her progressive art has gained a lot of buzz and a lot of conversation. Beyonce's video featured her beautiful daughter Blu Ivy , the voice of Messy Mya ( whom was shot and killed by police, at the age of 22) and rapper Big Freedia. In the New Orleans based video . Some of her scenes depict the devastation of Hurricane Katrina , Mardi Gras, a young black child in a hoodie dancing, a sign that says stop shooting us, a newspaper displaying Martin Luther King which reads "More Than A Dreamer" , and her on top of a police car. She and her dancers payed homage to the Black Panthers as they dressed in all black leather and berets with their fist in the air. Beyonce's performance was super and she used her artistic abilities and platform to propel people toward social emancipation as Angela Davis said. For those of you that don't know what social emancipation it's the fact or process of being set free from legal, social, or political restrictions; liberation. Beyonce speaks on working hard, grinding until she owns it. So let's get in formation ( which means together) and get information (because knowledge is power) . After Beyonce's performance at the Superbowl she announced her "The Formation World Tour". l am so excited and I can't wait to see her show in Philadelphia June 5,2016. Get your tickets (here) and watch the "Formation" video below. The Rap Game is getting intense. We are two weeks away from the finale. Every week Jermaine Dupri had each of the young artist complete a task. For week six Jermaine Dupri had the kids and their parent/managers complete a marketing challenge. How ever the boss switched up the game . Jermaine Dupri switched managers for each artist. Papa Luis was matched with Miss Mulatto. Precious Peach teamed with Lil Niqo. Young Lyric was placed with Nique. Mitchell was teamed with Lil Poopy and Shayne linked with Supa Peach. This episode was super interesting because each parent wants their child to win. However Jermaine let them know that they had to set their personal feelings aside because business is business. He let them know that sales as an artist are highly important. He also told them that marketing is key and it's based on a business relationship with the artist and the managers . It has to be on point in order to succeed. For the first part of the marketing challenge Jermaine scheduled them to meet to executive marketing consultant Shant Das and Jny Flowers. So with the switch up of talent and managers it was kind of test because the managers had to represent a new artist. Out of all the representation Nique and Mitchell represented their artist the best. It was rather awkward that the other managers didn't rep their artist properly. For the second part of the challenge J.D had them all come to Greenbriar Mall. He informed them that they had to get people to sing up or his website www.Global14.com and follow them ( which just hit over 50k members) . He emphasized how important social media is and that numbers count big time in the business. So they were off to races. So the talent and their managers were informing people around the mall about who they are and that they needed their support. Young Lyric definitely is coming out her shell she was very lively and serious about her tast. After this challenge Jermaine totaled the score of likes and sign ups and based their spot on his list solely on the numbers. As J.D said "Teamwork makes the dream work". So his HIT LIST for week 6 went like this HIT LIST 1.Lil Niqo/ Miss Mulatto 2.Young Lyric 3.Supa Peach 4.Lil Poopy So are you ready? We're two weeks away! The Rap Game is about hustling. You have to go hard, not give up, and put personal feelings aside and get straight to business . The Villa " I Matter" program is giving high school seniors the opportunity to earn a scholarship . Over the weekend Meek Mill released the second part of
his 4/4 EP with features from T Dot illDude, Future, Dave East, and Omelly. Meek is going in on these tracks as he prepares to release his "Dream Chasers 4 " project. The streets are definitely waiting to hear what Meek drops next. MandoFresh , Chopsquad DJ, Beat Bully , and Ben Billions produced the tracks on this EP. Listen to the mixtape below and download it on My Mixtapez (Here). Can you believe that we are three weeks from the finale of The Rap Game? In three weeks Jermaine Dupri will crown his new So So Def artist. Over the course of five weeks J.D has tested the kids on their ability to writing/record, style, dance, and now he's testing them on creative collaboration. Jermaine said " Collabs are a big thing in the biz". So this week Jermaine Dupri and Jny Flowers separated the top five into two groups along with their parentgers. Group 1 consisted of Miss Mulatto, Lil Poopy, and Supa Peach. Group 2 consisted of Young Lyric and Lil Niqo. Jermaine Dupri wants the kids and their parents to know the importance of artist being able to work together as artist. On this episode Young Lyric's mom left so her dad could assist Young Lyric because he helps Lyric with her music. Group 1 and Group 2 were hard at work coming up with a concept, writing, and performing their song. So J.D brought the kids to to the Sound Lab to perform for him and B.Cox. During the practice performance both teams were critiqued and they had to leave with their critiques, go back home and practice their songs. The next day Jermaine Dupri brought the kids to Redan High School were he was waiting with Silento known for his RIAA certified Platinum single "Watch Me Whip (Whip/NaeNae) . Silento attends the high school and he took the top five on a brief tour of the school and answered a few questions. He expressed to his peers that "It's important for them to be real in their music because once everyone finds out it's not you, it's a wrap". So after spending sometime with Silento, J.D informed the kids that they'll be performing their song in front of 900 kids at their pep rally and they had to go get ready. When the kids stepped into the gymnasium the students were screaming and showing off their school's pride. So it was show time. Young Lyric and Lil Niqo performed their song first and they did an excellent job. They collaborated well together and fed off of each others energy. Their song was fresh and they were all the way live. The crowd was energized and they got into the crowd. The audience and J.D were pleased with their performance. After they rocked the gym Miss Mulatto, Lil Poopy, and Supa Peach performed. Their song was catchy . Miss Mulatto's energy was up, Lil Poopy definitely turned up his performance, and Supa Peach forget her verse. Supa Peach said " She wasn't use to collaborating, so that's why she messed up". So after their performances they headed back to their house in the A. During this time the parentgers were hashing out. Shayne and Precious Peach bump heads a lot and they don't really agree on anything. So when Jermaine came to do his HIT LIST, he had to reevaluate it based on the disagreements and the bad energy in the house. So this weeks HIT LIST went like this 1. Lil Niqo 2.Miss Mulatto 3.Young Lyric and Lil Poopy 4. Supa Peach This week was definitely about hard work and performance. The top five know that they have to really step it up if they want to win. J.D said next week they really better have their sh*t together because someone is going home next week. |
