THE MOGUL MINUTE : HOLD UP CAN I GET AN ENCORE OF BEYONCE'S #FORMATIONWORLDTOUR ? ( THE MOGUL GIRL)6/8/2016
Three days later and I'm still floating from Beyonce's Philly "Formation World Tour". I'm literally beaming. After the release of "Formation" on Tidal and her powerful Superbowl performance we all knew the Queen was up to something. Then her promo for her tour comes across the TV screen. If you're anything like me you were up early on February 10th to get tickets for the show ( I got mine in the pre-sale) . Where were you when "Lemonade" dropped on HBO and Tidal on April 23, 2o16? Beyonce is iconic. She is doing what she loves and what she dreamed of as a little girl and it's just magical to see. "Lemonade" is a musical production that will always be remembered. The emotional stages that Beyonce and her large team ( which she credited) brought to life on her album and visuals is strong, creative, sexy, relative, loving, sincere, informative, edgy, steamy , and hard.
Finally June 5, 2016 arrives my mom and cousins arrive at Lincoln Financial Field. The skies are gray, rain in falling ( lots of rain) , but the smiles laughs , prayers, and excitement still fills everyone's face. I saw "IVY PARK" apparel, fans in Formation merch, and fans in their favorite Beyonce styles. After the approval for us to go to our seats was given we entered. My Mom and I sat in Section 222 Row 1. The seats were great by the way ( I'm so glad I could surprise her with tickets she's my best friend, love you mom) . The sun was coming out, our clothes were drying and we were smiling and laughing and thankful that God let the rain stop. The LFF started to fill with more of the beyhive. Music fro Sevyn Streeter, Chloe & Haley, and Yonce's "IVY PARK" ad played as we waited for the concert to start. DJ Khaled's booth started to light up and then Mr. Major Key himself hit the stage and brought out Yo Gotti, The Young Gunz , Rick Ross, and Meek Mill . The day was already off to a hot start. If you follow me on Instagram, you already know how hype I was (laughs). So the audience is already excited and awaiting Beyonce to slay. After DJ Khaled's set a couple minutes passed and then the lights dropped and the roar of the audience and the energy just spread through thousands. Beyonce's intro popped up on her giant screens and it was officially time to get in Formation. I will post clips from my Instagram of me turned up below. I'm yelling "I see her". The Lincoln Financial Field officially lit up and everyone was ready to party on a Sunday night with Beyonce, My mom, my row, and I are screaming, singing, dancing, and having a great time. Just watching the happiness from everyone around as we all watched our favorite do exactly what she loves. It's truly the definition of art and passion. I'm watching her perform "Crazy In Love, "Don't Hurt Yourself, "Me, Myself & I" , "All Night", "Hold Up", "Freedom", and "Naughty Girl", just to name a few and going "Oh my goodness we're really at her concert. Like we're really seeing her , like ahhhhhhh". This was my second time seeing Beyonce live in concert. I might have been 13 when I saw her the first time . This time at 24 I really got to party it up and slay . Beyonce is just beautiful, gracious, funny, and just amazing to see perform. The fact that her set was just mind blowing. She made sure that her fans no matter where they were sitting in the arena could see her and not miss any of the show. Hearing Beyonce say "The best relationship you can have is the one you have with yourself", hearing her say " I'm a very country girl from Houston Texas, I am you and you are me If I can be up here I promise you can do anything, all you have to do is dream there's gone be blood, sweat, tears, haters, but you gotta fight and you will be here I promise you " . She's just so gracious, inspiring, and it was just an amazing night. Thank you Beyonce for never giving up and for grinding and really being a star! Thank you to everyone for being apart of her team and making the Formation World Tour incredible. I have to go back September 29th. Beyonce is truly one of the greats and she slayssssssss. Thank you TIDAL.

Queen Beyonce is #1 ! Her new album "LEMONADE" released on Tidal is number one on the Top 200 Billboard charts. B definitely knows how to make the world stop . LEMONADE is the perfect mixture of sweet, cold, sharpness, refreshment, and cohesion.
Her visual album for Lemonade premiered on HBO April 23, 2016 . The 1:50 :05 visual showed 11 various stages of growth in life -Intuition -Hope -Denial -Redemption -Anger -Apathy -Emptiness -Accountability -Reformation -Forgiveness -Resurrection These are trials we all face at some point in life. No matter who we are or where we're from we are all are human . Beyonce is definitely serving life, power, and art in this project. She also included cameos from some very powerful young females including Chloe & Halle, Winnie Harlow, Zendaya, Serena Williams, Quazanae Wallace, Ballerina Michaela DePrince, Ava Clark, and Amandla Sternberg, to name a few. She also included 90 year old Civil Rights activist Leah Chase . Her father, husband Jay-Z, and daughter Blu Ivy also appeared in the project. Beyonce and Jay Z have also stood up for change, love, and the Black Lives Matter movement. B, also honored Sybrina Fulton mother of Trayvon Martin , Michael Brown's mother, Lesley McSpadden by placing them in the video as well. I love the album and the film. Beyonce also took the time to credit every person that helped with "LEMONADE" which is absolutely amazing. The album is inspiring and important ! #LEMONADE I was so moved by Beyonce's album I wrote this poem. I''m so excited to get to see her Formation World Tour in Philadelphia 6/5
"4 BEYONCE"
What is art with out FREEDOM? What is LOVE with out a DROUGHT? PRAY YOU CATCH ME is what LEMONADE is all about. FORMATION is power. You can HOLD UP, SANDCASTLES in a flood. SORRY but she's never giving up ! 6 INCH heels to flip flops She still stands as queen. ALL NIGHT, all day and everything in between DADDY LESSONS made her strong Fast FORWARD the scene DON'T HURT YOURSELF Tryna Boycott. BEYONCE is here and living the dream!!! -THE MOGUL GIRL DEDICATED TO BEYONCE Political activist, scholar, and author Angela Davis once said "Progressive art can assist people to learn not only about the objective forces at work in the society in which they live, but also about the intensely social character of their interior lives. Ultimately, it can propel people toward social emancipation". Beyonce's new song and video "Formation" is not just art. The song sends a very strong message that high lights women's rights, injustice against minorities, and financial freedom. Of course Queen B always surprises us. Remember when she released her "Beyonce" album in 2013? She made the world stop and Yonce has done it again. Her song/video "Formation" released on TIDAL a day before her Pepsi Superbowl Halftime performance. Her progressive art has gained a lot of buzz and a lot of conversation. Beyonce's video featured her beautiful daughter Blu Ivy , the voice of Messy Mya ( whom was shot and killed by police, at the age of 22) and rapper Big Freedia. In the New Orleans based video . Some of her scenes depict the devastation of Hurricane Katrina , Mardi Gras, a young black child in a hoodie dancing, a sign that says stop shooting us, a newspaper displaying Martin Luther King which reads "More Than A Dreamer" , and her on top of a police car. She and her dancers payed homage to the Black Panthers as they dressed in all black leather and berets with their fist in the air. Beyonce's performance was super and she used her artistic abilities and platform to propel people toward social emancipation as Angela Davis said. For those of you that don't know what social emancipation it's the fact or process of being set free from legal, social, or political restrictions; liberation. Beyonce speaks on working hard, grinding until she owns it. So let's get in formation ( which means together) and get information (because knowledge is power) . After Beyonce's performance at the Superbowl she announced her "The Formation World Tour". l am so excited and I can't wait to see her show in Philadelphia June 5,2016. Get your tickets (here) and watch the "Formation" video below. |
