Halle Bailey is stunning as Ariel. The new 2023 adaptation of the 1989 "The Little Mermaid" is a must see. The animated version is a classic favorite but the live action will soon be as well. The star studded cast Halle Bailey (“grown-ish”) as Ariel; Tony Award® winner Daveed Diggs (“Hamilton,” “Snowpiercer”) as the voice of Sebastian; Jacob Tremblay (“Luca,” “Room”) as the voice of Flounder; Awkwafina (“Raya and the Last Dragon”) as the voice of Scuttle; Jonah Hauer-King (“A Dog’s Way Home”) as Prince Eric; Art Malik (“Homeland”) as Sir Grimsby; Noma Dumezweni (“Mary Poppins Returns”) as Queen Selina; with Oscar® winner Javier Bardem (“No Country for Old Men,” “Being the Ricardos”) as King Triton; and two-time Academy Award® nominee Melissa McCarthy (“Can You Ever Forgive Me?” “Bridesmaids”) as Ursula.
I attended a private viewing of the film and I really enjoyed the film. The original story of "The Little Mermaid" is showcased with twist and turns. You never know what to expect under the sea. The music is astounding and the cinematography by Dion Bebee and special effects by Industrial Light & Magic, Wētā FX, Moving Picture Company and Framestore DNEG are incredible. Walt Disney Studios and Motion Pictures produced the film. Rob Marshall directed a great film and David Magee's screenplay is well scripted. All in all this movie has become part of the world of Disney. Get your tickets and don't miss"The Little Mermaid."

If you think I'm going to spoil the film for you trust me I'm not. This review will be short and sweet because I'm literally still speechless that I've seen it already. I felt as if I've waited my whole life just to spend and 1hr and 58minutes in a whole new yet familiar world. The film's cinematography by Caleb Deschanel is absolutely stunning. The soundtrack produced by Pharrell Williams and Hans Zimmer sets the tone for the film. Hakuna Matata what a wonderful phrase! Honestly, every time I think about this movie nothing but pure joy and laughter comes across my mind. I covered a private screening of the film Tuesday night in Philly. The the theater was full of women and a few guys too. The excitement for the highly anticipated film was definitely felt in the theater. I brought one of my favorite girls ( my grandmother ) as my special guest. I figured it would be interesting to hear her thoughts on the film since we are 64 years apart. Might I say it was absolutely hilarious to watch her reaction to certain scenes ( just thinking about it makes me want to put crying emojis continuously in this space) . Anyways, Girls Trip is for every women just like the 1978 hit single "I'm Every Women" written by Nickolas Ashford and Valerie Simpson , Performed by the great Chaka Khan and then remixed by the incredible Whitney Houston in 1992. This film is exactly what we needed in this generation. Each character depicted a different relative story that each lady could relate to and yet they all shared some similarities. I'm definitely not going to spoil the movie for you in this review because I want you to have the best time seeing this beautiful cast of amazing women and handsome talented men. All in all this movie is going to a favorite new-school classic. One things for sure I have to go to New Orleans and Essence Festival with my girls. From beginning to end the theater was full of laughter , smiles, and outburst from different audience members during different scenes. However, we all had a great time. I also met some really cool ladies at the screening. That's what it's about ! This film was needed. The director Malcolm D. Lee and producer Will Packer did an outstanding job along with the writers Kenya Barris , Tracy Oliver, from a story by Erica Rivinoja, who based the script off their own experiences of going out with her girlfriends . Regina Hall, Queen Latifah, Tiffany Haddish, Jada Pinkett Smith, Larenz Tate Mike Colter, and Kofi Siriboe star n the film. You're in for a non-stop treat of sugar, spice, and everything right with this film. So let's go break the box office and support these amazing entertainers. So grab your girls , mom , aunt, cousins, sisters , or grandma and get the theater July 21, 2017 (opening day ) and go see "Girls Trip" .

Enchanting and a tale as old as time. The live-action remake of the animated fairy tale "Beauty And The Beast" debuts in theaters on March 17,2017. I attended a media only showing of the film a few weeks ago and let's just say I sat in the theater in awe. To see one of my child-hood favorite movies come to life on the big screen was so exciting. I enjoyed the cinematography, costumes, and splendid set changes. Despite a few differences the director Bill Condon and the entire cast worked tirelessly to make the 2 hour and nine minute film.
The music for the film is wondrous and it definitely added to the awe and excitement of the film. One of my favorite scene features the song "Be Our Guest" . You will definitely laugh and smile while watching the movie. So will you be a guest this weekend at the theaters? Beauty And The Beast are waiting. WRITTEN BY
