He wants you to be inspired, increase your income, and make a difference in yourself and others. I remember having my first pair of Fubu boots in elementary school, they were denim and yellow. I liked them, they were different and comfortable.
Never did I think I'd be seeing the Fubu creator live in person at the Get Motivated Summit in my city, Philadelphia. To recently being selected to be apart of his Rise And Grind Ambassador program. Things really do come full circle. I plan to learn as much as I can and do more to follow my dreams. Daymond's success despite hardships it's motivating. His new book "Rise And Grind" releases January 23, 2017. New York Times bestselling author of The Power of Broke and "Shark" on ABC's hit show Shark Tank explores how grit, persistence, and good old fashioned hard work are the backbone of every successful business and individual, and inspires readers to Rise & Grind their way the top. It might be convenient to believe that you can short-cut your way to the top, but the truth is that if you want to get and stay ahead, you need to put in the work. You need to out-think, out-hustle, out-perform everyone around you. You've got to 'rise and grind' every day. In the anticipated follow-up to the bestselling The Power of Broke, Daymond takes an up-close look at the hard-charging routines and winning secrets of individuals who have risen to the challenges in their lives and grinded their way to the very tops of their fields. Along the way, he also reveals how grit and persistence both helped him overcome the obstacles he has faced in life, and ultimately fueled his success. Pre- order ( here) If you've signed up for Daymon John's emails , you've probably received this message about regret, Do you have any regrets? I get asked this question often and it’s an important one. My answer is yes. I do have one regret in my life and it’s never having served my country. It’s true – that is my one big regret. Regret can be a funny thing. Many people dwell heavily on their regrets and aren’t sure how to move forward. They are paralyzed by “what could have been” or “what should have been”. I’ve learned, though, to always channel those thoughts into actions. What can I do today? For me, it’s all about how I can serve, support and empower those I interact with daily – whether it’s on Shark Tank, in meetings, at conferences or on social media. I may have never served my country as a member of the military, but I focus on doing everything I can to serve the communities I touch, near and far, by spreading the power of entrepreneurship. Now, I know being on a TV show in no way puts me on the same level as someone who has put their life on the line to protect their country. I’d have to be crazy to make that kind of comparison! But, I’ve recognized the unique platform and opportunity I have to make a difference and do my part. Through my consulting, speaking, books and curriculums, I’ve made it my mission to share advice, tools and resources to help all the aspiring entrepreneurs out there achieve their goals. Sometimes life has a funny way of coming full circle, though. This summer, I teamed up with two organizations that do amazing work for veterans and active duty members, Bob Evans Farms and The Mission Continues. We kicked off the first ever Heroes to CEO’s contest and just this past month awarded 3 veteran entrepreneurs with a $25,000 grant. I also had the chance to sit down with each of them for a one-on- one mentoring session. I loved talking with these entrepreneurs. I think I learned just as much from these guys as they learned from me. They have unbelievable dedication and drive and they owe that to their time in the military. Why am I sharing this with you, though? Today, I get to spend my time mentoring up-and- coming entrepreneurs and even supporting those who have dedicated themselves to our country. I owe a lot of that to the fact that I have never let regret hold me back. I learn from it and channeled those thoughts into action. I may regret that I never served my country, but I have turned that regret into an opportunity to do my part and give back. As we head into November, I challenge you to take the time to acknowledge and learn from any regrets you may have. Let them drive you to rise and grind, to work harder than you did yesterday, and to support others along the way. Have a great rest of your week and as always, think big. DJ www.daymondjohn.com

Mogul Daymond John has mastered the power of using all of his experiences , knowledge , and drive to achieve greatness and motivate people globally. Whether he's writing book , speaking on stage , or sitting in the boss chair on Shark Tank, Daymond is a true go-getter and he wants you to be the same way. I had the opportunity to see him speak live at the "Get Motivated Seminar" in Philly in 2016. I told myself all day I'd get a chance to meet him, I didn't but I will one day . I listened closely as he told the story of his mom teaching him how to sew and creating his FUBU clothing line . As he spoke about how his life progressed over the years and how multiple business opportunities changed his life , not only was I intrigued but deeply inspired.
This morning as I check Twitter, I see a post from him , click on the link and press play on "Think It's A Game- Haters (Part 1) " and I'm so glad I did . Everything he said touched my heart. and it's exactly what I needed to hear this morning for various reasons. A lot of us deal with so many issues, rejection, self - doubt, physical pain , emotional damage and so much more. Yet we have to stop being our own haters and love exactly who God made us to be. I'm going to play this 3:42 track every morning after my prayers . This track is motivational and uplifting. No matter how hard life is , it's a lesson, and failure is a process, and we can't quit despite all of it's mishaps. Just think about it , if Daymond John didn't sit down and learn to sew , FUBU wouldn't have been created. What if he quit, he would've never been in the position be on Shark Tank and invest in other people's dreams and change their lives for the better. If he would have let failure define him , he wouldn't be able to stand on stages across the world and say things that affect people in ways they can never forget. If he would've just stopped when things didn't go his way , he wouldn't have been able to record this track that I needed to hear at this point and time in my life. So for that, I want to say thank you . So everyone listen to this Daymond John Track with DJ Dirty Harry and achieve your goals. |
