"Everybody wants something . Gotta want something. What are you living for? Everybody needs something" these are lyrics from Rihanna's 2011 song "We All Want Love". It's true we all do want love, support, and help from one another . Last year Rihanna was the headliner for the 2016 Global Citizen Festival. This year Rihanna's Clara Lionel Foundation and Global Citizen Foundation visited Malawi, Africa where the Muzu school is located. The average income is 90 cents per day and 50% of the population live below the poverty line. The Clara Lionel Foundation has partnered with the Global Partnership for Education and Global Citizen to advocate for strong education systems that ensure the world's poorest kids can get a quality education. Rihanna sat down with the minister of education, science, and technology , the prime minister of Australia, the CEO Hugh Evans of Global Citizen and other educational officials to see first hand what the students and teachers experience and learn how they could unite to make a difference. In one class alone there might be 100 kids to one teacher. Education is cherished but also can't be afforded by all families . So the drop out rate rises due to poverty. The lack of books, food, rainy weather , no chalk, and sickness causes a lot of problems. There are so many challenges that girls face including travel challenges , arranged child marriages, and the spread of HIV/AIDS.
Watching this documentary and seeing Rihanna interact with the kids was just beautiful. She just brought so much light to them as they did to her. She taught math , played, and read to the kids. You can tell how much she cared and that she isn't giving up until a change is made. It was just an awesome feeling to see how smart the kids are and how much they love school despite it's challenges. The 14 year old who narrated the video wants to be a business man in the future. Rihanna called on her Navy to target Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to ask him to step up in support of education. She then engaged in a twitter back-and-forth with former French President Francois Hollande where he ultimately declared ‘education is my number one priority . She's at it again, but this time she has not one or two, but 20 of the world’s most powerful leaders in her sights. As GPE’s Global Ambassador, Rihanna is standing with GPE and its Chair, Julia Gillard, to call for an historic step-change in financing for education, and on the G20 and other donors to step up and #FundEducation at GPE’s next replenishment so it can raise $3.1B between 2018 and 2020. That's $3.1B that can build new classrooms, fund books, teachers, water sources, fees, uniforms and, most importantly, a higher quality of education for over 870 million kids. However , we need the world’s richest countries to lead the pack. In July, the G20 will meet in Hamburg and set an ambitious agenda they can work together on. Rihanna and Global Citizen need your help in the coming month to make sure education is at the top of that list. "Together is powerful. You share your knowledge and skills. Together is powerful. Promote eachother. Together is powerful. America came together. Africa to came together. Europe came together". Narrated by a 14 year old male student at the Muzu Primary School.

Its finally here ! Rihanna just dropped her 7:34 visual for her chart topping single "Work" ft Drake off of her Certified Platinum album "ANTI" in to the uRIHverse. Rihanna shot her video with director Dr.X at "The Real Jerk" in Toronto , Canada. The video features our favorite Bad Gal partying it up with her crew, doing sexy dance moves at the dance hall themed party . This video definitely makes you want to turn up with Rih-Rih. Am I the only one thinking that her and Drake should work, work, work, together more often? We all know after the party it's the after party. So after they turned up at "The Real Jerk" Rihanna and Drake doubled the work for the second part of the video shot by Tim Erem. Rihanna's "ANTI" tour kicks off this Spring make sure you get your tickets www.rihannanow.com/tour and you get her album "ANTI" (here) right now. What song do you want to see Rihanna shoot a video for next ? I'm thinking "Desperado", "Woo", "Close To You", or 'Love On The Brain". I could pick for days I love the album!!
Woo! Finally Rihanna's eighth studio album "ANTI" is here . The Navy went crazy the other day when Rihanna posted a selfie wearing Dolce & Gabbana x Frends golden crowned headphones with the caption "Listening to ANTI". This definitely set social media on fire . Then yesterday she released her single "Work" featuring Drake . Everyone was jamming out to the upbeat-spunky track and what a surprise she released the full "ANTI" album last night on TIDAL. Since it's release the album has been streamed over 13 million times. ( Round of applause and a twerk for Rih-Rih) . "ANTI" is very edgy, groovy, original, daring, animated, and hypnotic. Her features SZA and Drake are great choices and the beats are blazing. The vibes on this 13 track project range from somber, to Yeah I Said It , to straight fierce and savage unapologetic boldness. Although Rihanna is straight forward ANTI has a mysterious addictive flavor. ANTI takes us a little higher into Rih's #uRIHverse. Her voice is sultry, spicy, strong, and classically sexy. I'm definitely loving that she went against all the rules and did things her own way darlin. #ANTI has it's own direction and the NAVY definitely got the message and the navy definitely approves.

Rihanna the Barbadian beauty from the other side of the ocean is definitely living the "American Dream". She came to America as a teenager to pursue her career and she hasn't stopped dreaming since. Our favorite bad gal is set to release her eighth studio album "R8" soon. Its amazing to continue to see Rihanna's growth and how she continues to diversify her dreams whether its acting, fashion, or even an animated voice. Its true we do "sweat for a nickel and dime and turn it into an empire". Its a blessing to see your visions become a reality, to know your hard work is paying off , to look back and see how far you've come, and to know that your life has changed and your families life has changed for the better because you didn't give up on your dreams . Even though we're here where we can become whatever we want to be, we have to work extremely hard and yes we do face many obstacles but we stay strong and continue to go after our dream. I remember walking into Kenny B's and the owner handed me Rihanna's demo CD. I played it non stop. I even had "if Its Lovin That You Want" on my answering machine on my pink Razor ( think about how long ago that was) Haha. Anyways I am highly anticipating her new album and to see what she does next in the "uRIHverse". So download "American Oxygen" on iTunes (Here) I posted this on my IG a year ago. Its the cover from Rihanna's demo CD! Its just really inspiring to see her dreams come true and to see her continue to be herself "Rihanna". Pour it up ,pour it up! Its time to celebrate!
