– Maya Angelou Amariyanna "Mari" Copeny known to the world as "Little Miss Flint" is a power house and she's working hard . For such a young girl she has taken charge and brought so much attention to the Flint Water Crisis . She has done so much to help the city she loves so much . Yes, there still is a water crisis in Flint if you have forgotten. She shares a real life account of what's going on day by day in Flint. She's even worn a "Flint Lives Matter" T-Shirt because their lives do matter and they shouldn't have to deal with this issue . There's no way that Flint, Michigan should be without clean water for over one thousand days . She's recently shared a photo of a waiver that Flint residents had to sign in order to have their lead service line replaced. It's absolutely heart breaking that the people of Flint still do not have fresh water to bathe , cook , or drink. Mari posted a picture of her arm that had a rash on it from the chemicals and lead in the water. So many people have shared their stories on social media about how this crime is affecting their lives. However, Amariyanna is continuing to shine and show love to not only her city but she has big dreams for the world. She is a true leader and truly inspiring. I wish I had her bravery and strength at her age. Proudly wearing a shirt that says " I Am Your Future President" . With her persistence and her fight for what's right , just might take Mari from Flint Michigan all the way to the Oval Office as President. There's been so much support of people donating money and water to Flint , but more things have to be done. People have died and are still sick from the lead . Mari keep striving to be the best you are a revolutionary. Everyone please keep Flint, Michigan in your prayers and continue to share the information about this problem and do what you can to help. Mari has met some really famous celebrities and even President Barack Obama knows who she is and now you do to .

Remember the song "New World Water" on the 1999 album "Black On Both Sides" by Mos Def ? It probably went over your head but it's time to revisit this song. This track speaks volumes and mutually relates to exactly what's happening today in Flint Michigan, and numerous other cities, states, and countries around the globe. Although the Flint Water Crisis is currently getting attention in 2016 and people are just becoming aware of this issue Flint has been dealing with this problem for years, dating back to 2001 and 2002. We all know that we need water to survive but how can we if the water is being poisoned with harsh chemicals that are leading to illnesses such as lead poisoning, illnesses, cancer, autism, and even death.
