This year Meek Mill has accomplished numerous ventures. He's put in hard work and that can't be discredited no matter what. The Philly born artist has continued to inspire and motivate his city and the world through his music and his story. Recently he attended the 76ers game at the Wells Fargo Center and brought along youth from the Boys&Girls Club to enjoy the name . Meek has always found a way to give back during his busy career and still be there for his family and friends. In recent and shocking news on Monday (Nov. 6), Meek Mill was sentenced to two to four years for violating his probation in a nearly decade old case. It's ridiculous and people are speaking up about the injustice . There's an issue that Meek has been sentenced to more time then a police officer or a block watch captain that have harmed or killed an unarmed African-American. This news has stirred up so many people including celebrities such as Jay Z, Kevin Hart, T.I, and more. His lawyer Joe Tacopina told TMZ that "Judge Genese Brinkley is enamored with the rapper and crossed all conceivable lines." The question of both cases being dropped and still having to serve time just doesn't make any sense. A petition to Governor Tom Wolf has been started to show support for Meek Mill and get him out. The petition can be signed here . Despite this news this case can't knock his achievements this year. I released articles in 2015 and 2016 about Meek having a big year and here's five reasons 2017 is big for him too.
WINS AND LOSSES ALBUM
"Wins And Losses" is the third studio album from Meek Mill. The album charted #3 on The Billboard Charts. Meek told Elliot Wilson this album was a rap album and he was breaking down all the wins and losses. Sating the fact that even if it was a loss it was a lesson and winning is still on his side. This album featured Lil Uzi, Ty Dolla $ign , Chris Brown, August Alsina, Teyana Taylor and more. Meek addressed multiple topics on this album showing his growth and didn't hold back. He teamed up with a bunch of producers to help create the hot records on his project. He also did the promo shows with Tidal for the album his release. The Philly show was super lit. Seeing Meek hold that platinum plaque on stage for DWMTM was a happy moment. Get his album"Wins And Losses"
WINS AND LOSSES MOVIE
In a Power 99 interview Meek talked about teaming up with Philly's own Spike Jordan to create this film. He wanted to do something different to roll out the album. He also expressed he wants to start a production company for the youth to get involved in. Meek released multiple music videos for "Wins And Losses" as well as this film.
HE RECORDED OVER 200 SONGS
Meek told IHeart Radio he recorded over 200 songs this year. So even though we got an album and a few cuts on the Meekend Music releases he still has a lot of fire songs in the cut . The artist on his Dream Chasers Records label also signed YBS Skola and Omelly . So Meek has definitely been working.
RELEASED " ON TOUR WITH MEEK MILL"
This year he released "On Tour With Meek Mill" which lead up to his Meek And Friends Concert in Philadelphia. Meek brought out artist such as YG, DMX, Rick Ross, and more. He definitely rocked out and had a good time. The show showed the behind the scenes look at how members of his team handle different aspects of his business, how he wants to be understood , and how everything he does is for his son and family. The doc was directed by Philly's own Jamal Hill. This documentary also showed Meek giving tickets to his show to the youth.
MOTIVATION x 30
Meek Mill turned 30 May 6, 2017. At thirty Meek realized some things he needed to change in his life and he made them. He's not giving up and just like track 11 on the album he will never lose. Meek also spoke about the system at Van Jones "We Rise Tour" . As a man, a artist , and a human being ( let's not forget he's a person with real feelings with people that love him and care about him) he definitely needs our continuous support . So don't let the media discredit the motivation he provides or his dream chaser mindset.

So Meek was serving up some heat to hold us over until the official release date for his third album.
"Wins and Losses" the new album from Philly's own Meek Mill officially released at midnight on all music streaming services. The 17 track project takes us on a ride through the highs and lows Meek faced. The album starts off with a positive message from Eric Thomas the hip hop preacher , followed by Meek quoting Isaiah 54:17 . Whether he's discussing personal relationships, fame, the streets, losing people he loved , living lavish ,making it big from nothing, or just getting litty. You are tuned in word for word. This album is undoubtedly personal. He expresses on his song "Heavy Heart" how he's been hurt for multiple reasons and how it's still troublesome to him in a way . He also speaks on having serious trust issues. Yet and still Meek appreciates his DreamChasers family and his supporters that ride for him regardless. The death of his friend/lil bro and artist Lil Snupe and other friends he's lost to the streets still way heavy on his mind and heart and has greatly affected him . However, Meek still pushes towards greatness and doesn't forget them no matter what he achieves . You already know Meek is going to put out catchy fire songs and spill his feelings at the same time. He also is going to put some super lit tracks to get you turnt up whether you're home , in the club , or in the car . Meek also expresses that he's forever thankful for Rick Ross signing him and loves that he can take care of his family and that there's no better feeling than his son Papi speaking French to him . The album def has hot producers and dope features. All in all Meek Mill just wanted to release a real rap album and speak on everything that got him to where he is today. 1. “Wins & Losses” prod - Pampamitrou 2. “Heavy Heart” prod - Tarik Azzouz & StreetRunner 3. “F**k That Check Up” Feat.
