Singer and songwriter Jhené Aiko teamed up with the educational non-profit organization “Get Schooled.” Their partnership entitled “The Power of the Pen” is an inspiring initiative to motivate teenagers and young adults, ages 13-21 to express their feelings and what’s on their mind . The mission of Get Schooled is to empower and engage young people and give them the tools and inspiration to get the education they need to succeed . Jhené Aiko writes poetry as a form of self expression and therapy . She feels that it helps her get through difficult times in her life . I also am a writer and I definitely agree with Jhené. Poetry and stories have always held a special place in my heart and it also helps me get through good times and bad ones.
