Use everything as a lesson turn everything to a bLessing , I swear I'm never contesting that's God's Work - Westside Boogie
So recently I saw Westside Boogie's video for "N*gga Needs" and visually the video is not only powerfully- attention grabbing but the lyrics are real talking the hard times, being a church boy, Westside banging, finding balance, being real not being a fraud, and what's needed. After seeing the video I had to go watch his other videos and then I realized I heard "No Way" months ago. I'm sitting there like why didn't I listen to more after hearing that lit song.
After listening to Thirst 48, Thirst 48 Part II, and The Reach let me just say Boogie is on my favorite lyricist list. Straight up it's just something special about his delivery, his beat choices, the topics he elaborates on in his raps, the fact that he loves and is proud of his son, you just feel something different while listening to him. Man, on "Sunroof" I literally feel like I'm riding through the Westside with my fingers through the sunroof just vibing, soaking up the sun. His music just reaches you and makes you thirst for more. I'm loving what I'm hearing from the rapper from Compton. His mix of church (gospel background) , his Compton roots , and life experiences , create undeniable epicness. You can't help but feel what he's saying. I definitely can't wait to interview Boogie and see him rap live. So I'll save the rest for the interview write-up , I gotta speak it into existence.
