     Diddy is a father , multi award winner, artist, producer, entrepreneur, actor, innovator and the list stretches for miles. As a highly successful  business man , he's always shared motivational information to push you  to excel and follow your dreams. In 2014 Diddy, a  former student of Howard University attended the graduation ceremony and gave the Commencement Speech. During the speech Diddy thanked the staff and  his mother for working hard to get him through school. He also told the graduates, that in order to  be successful they have to be real with themselves , be honest , and to go out and get it. He said "It won't be easy but there's no rescue team coming". He wanted the class of 2014 to know that they have to get up earlier, stay later, and push pass doubters and haters to achieve greatness . He also informed them not to be  afraid to fail, to be decisive, and to remember the power of you. That no matter how dark it gets, no matter how hard you fall,  that you have to "Remember the power of you and that you are your own light". Wow! Those words are powerful words to live by! I attended college but didn't get to graduate college so I always find Commencement Speeches to be enlightening and exciting. If I was in attendance at that graduation, I would cherish those words forever.  Diddy takes education seriously and wants the younger generation to be leaders and to dream big. This year Diddy opened his own school , "Capital Preparatory Harlem  Charter" in his hometown Harlem, New York.  It was all a dream five years ago and now the school sits on East 104th Street .Their mission is to provide historically disadvantaged students with the college and career readiness skills needed to become responsible and engaged citizens for social justice. The school has a full staff of teachers and administrators. Danita Jones serves as the principal. Diddy announced that the they have a 100% international graduation rate and the students go on to attend four year universities.
