The sounds of the Djembe drums beat in my heart. The Marabou Stork delivers messages of my ancestors ever so quietly in my dreams. The Adofo warrior initiates the essense of love . The Abasi Warrior iniates the power of being stern. I smell the African Iris as it thrives in vague memories. I hear the call of the griots as I remember stories and songs. Over 3,000 languages suppressed under my tounge.
Hello. Have I forgotten? I scroll through my smart phone ignoring the sounds of the morning birds. Have we forgotten? We're connected by satellites but have we lost connection ? Are we seperated. The calls for real freedom have rang for years in the home of the free. My ancestors blood, sweat, and tears still float through the roads. They fought for change and we're still carrying the load. MLK , Malcolm X, MOVE, Muhammad Ali, Nina Simone, Mandela, let their power be known. It is time to speak now or for never thou we have peace. Remember Tupac Shakur interviews and speeches and the lyrics of N.W.A?
Our ancestors told stories of family, strength, and love. The blood of leaders mix with every cell in our being. Have you forgotten who you are? Adjust your crown. The slaughter of our own still haunts us all.
Love has no color. Death has no color. Life is the one thing we all possess. Life was made in God's hands for it is he the true owner of all that has the right to start or end. It is not you! The simple fact your skin is not golden glazed, honeyed, browned, or ebony does not give you the right to judge or take a life. I've seen history books of my ancestors lynched and murdered and now I see it happen to my people. In the palm of my hand I see my people die. I will not live in fear but how can you not be somewhat scared? You are subconsciously living so you don't do anything to lose your life. Is this really the home of the free? Band together forever on all levels. We are family. Division is not the answer, murder is not the answer, hate is definitely not the answer. Why not Unity in the United States of America?  You know liberty and justice for all! We started in our home Africa but we're here now (Not by choice of our own). So Dear America I ask that you change your eyes. Change your mind, change your hearts. We are all human and we all have a life to live. Yes there's good and bad in everything. Nobody on this earth is perfect. But nobody deserves to die because you think you are better than them, you think they're less than you or you feel that they don't deserve to be here because of what they look like. Power lies within us all lets tap into that to cause a shift in the atmosphere nothing is more powerful than God! Prayer changes things and so does togetherness. You matter! Any piece you can do can change. Remember Ruby Bridges the black 5 year old is the reason our schools are desegregated today. A lot can be done if we just use our minds. Think about it. I will not give up for the generations after us need our voices to be heard today. I pray for this world and the families of Philando Castile , Alton Sterling, Dylan Nobel,  Jose Raul Cruz , Symone Marshall and the thousands of black men women, children , whom were murdered by police. My prayers go out to the loved ones of the police who were killed in Dallas . Violence is never the answer and it never will be the answer. Stand together and pledge allegiance to change and love.

Seriously  we need change. We all need love and care. There's problems in more ways than one and we need to work together to fix them.  We are all human and we should not have to live our lives in fear or suffering. Let's change ourselves and change , change the unjust  education, medical, judicial, and financial system. At the end of the day life is  given to be lived!  All I ask is that everyone stay safe. Remember to read, research and don't give up hope. There's good and bad in everyone. All cops aren't bad. Nobody on this planet should be mistreated because of what they look like or whom they are.  Everyone is speaking out about today's issues including celebrities ( whom are human too and have the right to feel a certain way too) .  This world needs love!
