THE MOGUL MINUTE : SPRINT LAUNCHES THE 1 MILLION PROJECT

  I am a proud Sprint customer . I am very appreciative up my service as well as the numerous sales and opportunities that they provide. So I was thrilled  to learn the Sprint Foundation launched the 1Million Project . The new initiative will ensure more high school students have the tools and resources they need to reach their full potential.
   According to statistics 70% of America's high school teachers assign homework which requires internet access. Yet more than five million families with high school students do not have internet access at home. This creates the "Homework Gap".  Growing up, I remember a lot of students went to the library or stayed later after school because they didn't have a computer yet alone internet. I appreciated my family for providing me with and computer and the internet.
  So for the next five years Sprint's 1Million Project will provide one million free devices and  free wireless service to low income high school students to complete their assignments in the comfort of their home.
Sprint hopes that this initiative will help students like Armelia who travels to her aunt's home at 11pm after she returns from work so she can do her assignments online. Or, Rhea who goes to school an hour before the doors open so she can sit on the front steps to connect to Wi-Fi and finish her homework. At Sprint, we feel that we have to do what we can to erase these obstacles to learning and succeeding.
   The journey to fulfill 1 million students homes with internet ready devices is a big effort . This will affect the students in great way and it will bridge the homework gap  .
