Shayna Sherie The Legacy Tour landed in Atlantic City, NJ on March 18,2023 at The Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall. The Mogul Minute , was there to cover and experience the show live. The arena was filled from the front to the back with concert goers ready to spend the next couple hours with Tank, GUY, Keith Sweat, and New Edition. There were tons of smiles and stylish outfits from old school hairstyles to modern day fashion everyone was prepared to have a good time.
Whether you were born in 70's, 80's, 90's or the 2000's the music , videos, dances , from the artist on this tour have impacted generations. From parties to late nights love sessions , from cook outs to family reunions, from block parties to clean up Saturdays. Tank, GUY, Keith Sweat and New Edition, have created timeless , unforgettable , music that is loved and appreciated , world-wide. These talented men have turned their journey into a legacy. The night opened with a special performance from Grammy Nominated singer, songwriter, producer, actor Tank. His vocals enticed the audience as you heard screams from crowd. He brought out special guest J.Valentine. They've collaborated on a few songs such as "Stay Where You Are " and "Slow." Tank sang crowd favorites "I Deserve" "Please Don't Go" "I Can't Make You Love Me" during his set. He also showed his toned-physique which also captivated the audience. GUY hit the stage and definitely served a "Piece of My Love." Aaron Hall, Teddy Riley, and Damion Hall turned up the party by performing songs such as "I Like", "Teddy's Jam" and so many fan favorites. They thanked the crowd and Teddy Riley said "We still here we still healthy and blessed to be in front of you and if it wasn't for y'all we wouldn't be where we are today." GUY is a group that generated a sound and influenced a genre for years to come. Keith Sweat stepped on stage with a smoothness and although he's traveled the world his NY edge is still in his heart. He took his time to talk to the audience an address a few things which got cheers and laughs from everyone in the building. "Don't Stop Your Love' ,"Twisted" ,"Nobody" , and " My Body." were just a few of the classics he performed . There was even a concert goer with a "I'm Here For Keith Sweat" shirt in the crowd. He danced and displayed stylish pieces with his quick changes for his set. As the show continued it didn't feel like our average concert from the DJ, to Lady B, to the audience just celebrating together, it felt more like a reunion. We all were celebrating. If you looked around , everyone was enjoying themselves. It was a giant party before the after-party. The lights dropped and it was time for New Edition. Can you believe that it's been forty years of New Edition ? The Hollywood Walk of Famers and Lifetime Achievement Award Winners Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins, Bobby Brown, Ronnie DeVoe, Ralph Tresvant, and Johnny Gill were live and in living color. They hit the stage and pure joy erupted at Boardwalk Hall. There were people with tears in their eyes as if they were seeing NE for the first time, people were doing their one and only signature dance moves. New Edition put on a indelible show. Everything was on point. They even showed throwback pictures and videos. New Edition even incorporated the BBD ,Bobby Brown, and Johnny Gill solo sets during the performance. So the audience got to hear everything from "Candygirl", "Mr.Telephoneman", "I'm Still In Love With You," "Don't Be Cruel" "Poison." to "My,My , My." All in all , The Legacy Tour brought to you by the Black Promoters Collective was a night to remember. It was an amazing show. They're hardwork and dedication did not go unnoticed.
