In one of Mrs.Tina Lawson's speeches she said "God works even when you don't understand. He is giving you things that you can take out the tool box and use even when they seem bad" . Powerful words right? The very things that we learn or go through are the very tools we need to succeed, get free, and free others. Mrs. Tina Lawson is a mother, a wife, a grandmother and a successful business women. There's so much that we as women and entrepreneurs can learn from her.
Mrs.Tina launched her mentoring group "Tina's Angels" , that meets on Saturday mornings. It's a program for girls ages 12-14 to learn about not judging others, posture, to be kind, learn to be compassionate, hygiene advice, self-esteem, and more. So far Mrs. Tina has had a few meetings with the girls. She's also taken them to see a show Alvin Ailey Dance Theater, where her husband actor Richard Lawson taught the cast. The girls had the opportunity to see the show and meet Beyonce back stage. There's nothing but pure joy on the girls faces. How truly amazing? Mrs.Tina posted a video a while ago with the girls in "IVY PARK" clothing. This weekend Shea Moisture donated hair and skin care products to the girls . They were super thankful to receive the gifts. Mrs.Tina also gave the young ladies locked journals with their names engraved on them. Mrs.Tina encourages others to get a group of kids from your local church or neighborhood and mentor and spend time with them .Show the youth some love and attention. She says "It's rewarding and you can change their life" . I love that she also wrote that they are teaching her as well. It's true in life we all can learn from each other. A snippet of a short film about "Tina's Angels" was posted to her Instagram today. The film is shot by Bianca Ramirez one of the 2017 Boston Marathon Runners. Bianca was diagnosed with Breast Cancer and she received the proper medical care however she took into account that there are children who aren't getting the proper care. So she is running to raise money for the David Oritiz Children's Fund this month. All of our stories are important and helping one another rise is what it's all about. Mrs.Tina wants you to "B an Angel" , and empower the youth with love and time. Mrs.Tina is a mother to Beyonce, Solange, and her bonus daughter Bianca Lawson, a wife , a grandmother, a business woman, but she's also an angel for starting "Tina's Angels" to inspire the next generation to be powerful young women and use the very tools God gave them to use for good even when things seem bad.
