Cowboy Beebop's music gives off that intelligent, productive, chill, celebration, yet still hood, prepared for good things in the future, relative, I love my family and supporters, type of vibe. All in all his ability to combine numerous vibes in multiple songs is for sure what relates to his fans and the streets. Cowboy Beebop deserves recognition for his dedication to his dreams and his passion for music . So check out my exclusive interview with him below. 1. The Mogul Girl : What made you love music ? Cowboy Beebop : I've been in love with music since the womb. My mom and pop actually met at a rap contest at the community center at 27th and Daulphin. My mom won the competition and my pop won her.So I feel like I never got a chance to fall in love with music .It just was always there, like a apart of me. 2.) The Mogul Girl : Who or what inspires you ? Cowboy Beebop : I'm a very aesthetic person. I see the beauty in all forms of art. Rather it be visually or sonically. I go to art museums, plays, concerts, dance offs etc.., I draw inspiration from all these different outlets. That's why all my projects are conceptual. Cause I draw from these things then re-interpret them through my music. Far as a person Kid Cudi . He's the complete artist. 3.) The Mogul Girl : Favorite lyrics from a song of yours ? Cowboy Beebop : "Get Free". A song from my mixtape called "Saturday." I say "Mama tell me face-time/but I never take time/I be on a straight grind/Girl I gotta make mine/She don't never judge me cause she love me like I'm Fazon/She just scared to lose me to the system like Trayvon" . I was basically saying that I been working so hard that I barely have the time to deal with anyone on a social level, not even my mother. Also explaining how my mother was afraid for me because of all the police violence toward black folks at the time. 4.) The Mogul Girl : Is it anything you want your fans to know ? Cowboy Beebop : I miss they (***) lol . I'm sick that I let them down . I'm going through a growth stage and I hope they're willing to go through it with me I'll be hone soon. 5.)The Mogul Girl : How do you think you impact the game? Cowboy Beebop : I feel like I'm the bridge between the gangsters and the hipsters at least at a local level. I am the beautiful contradiction. The hood N**** who can crowd surf at Powerhouse or SXSW. The artist who's on the same wave as the Uzi's and Thuggas but can rap like the Nas and Jay-Z and get respected by the J-Prince's and Shug Knight's. 6.) The Mogul Girl : If you could work on a song with any artist who would it be and why ? Cowboy Beebop : Probably PartyNextdoor. Dude just knows how to capture a certain mood in his music. I would love to learn how to do that. Plus, I think our chemistry would be heavy, 7.)The Mogul Girl : If you could do a song with any artist who would it be and why? Cowboy Beebop : It's a documentary by Big Sean called the "Road To Hall Of Fame". It's about his creative process while he was making his second album. I watch this jawn and it bring it bring me right back. 8.)The Mogul Girl : Most cherished lesson you learned in life ? Cowboy Beebop : Most cherished lesson would be the law of attraction. When you have a clear picture of what you want and you focus and work towards it, the universe brings things in your life that help you achieve it . 9) The Mogul Girl : What does Philly mean to you ? Cowboy Beebop : It's home. I have a love/hate relationship with the city.I've been to a lot of different cities and nobody has their own swag like Philly male or female. Everywhere we go we standout. But on the negative : The city is to hard (lol) . We don't gotta be ganster all the time. We gotta learn to embrace the fact that we're all different . Some n***** are street dudes , some dudes are hipsters . It's too cliquey. 10.) The Mogul Girl : Tell me what you want listeners to gain from your music ? Cowboy Beebop : An understanding of me. My lyrics are so personal. Which I do intentionally. I want people to feel like they know me. I want my fans to be my friends , that way I'll be good no matter where I go in the world. Also if I can give some kind of insight on doing what you want with your life and not what people think you should, then I'm happy with that. 11.)The Mogul Girl : What was your dream growing up ? Cowboy Beebop : My dream was and still is to be remembered. I'm scared to die as a nobody and have death and time destroy my legacy.
