Tyrese Gibson released his single "Love Transaction" from his upcoming seventh album "Beautiful Pain". The song is produced by Brandon "B.A.M" Hodge. Davion Farris, Jerell Moore, and Tyrese Gibson all penned the six minute song. The track has a old school neo soul feel. "Love Transaction" has a Motown-ish vibe as Marvin Gaye - Inner City Blues (Make Me Wanna Holler) sample is mixed into the instrumental. Tyrese has always admired Marvin Gaye throughout his career. He even has a Marvin Gaye pictures and mural on a wall in his studio. Tyrese has stated " Everything about this album is a divorce deterrent ," He also informed fans that "the album is not coming this year. it would be impossible". "Love Transaction" is another look into Tyrese's reality as he he deals with the after effects of his divorce. His previous single "I Don't Think You Ever Loved Me" reached the Billboard Top 10 after it's release earlier this year. I've got a feeling this track will chart as well. This album is going to be very vulnerable. He is very open about his feelings about his previous marriage, his financial status, life as well as his assignment. He is very dedicated to fulfilling this album and making it special. He's been in Voltron Recordz studio doing a make over and working on his album. You can get the song on iTunes(here)

It's Capella Grey Season! First of all, I had a feeling Capella was definitely going to give us a project with a title like this. The "Gyalis", "ConfuJawn" singer/rapper, producer, writer, from the Bronx,NY finally released his EP. If you've been tapped into his lives and comments then you know that his supporters have been highly anticipating this project.
Capella Grey is vocally stimulating, intriguing, and just a vibe he's that guy. He produced the songs along side Born Beast, Jermaine Elliott, Allen Ritter, and Don Mills. So the EP starts with "Lipo" which is a fire wavy track. Hopefully when he tours you'll travel "Dumb Far" to see him perform your favorite track live. Am I the only one has "Roll Up Again" on repeat? This "Handsome" Soul Train Award nominee is very unique from other artist. He has his own style and is in his own lane. It's official "1 st Last" is a smash. So whether the sun is up or the "Sun Goes Down" press play on this EP. So to all the supporters "Here Damn" is streaming on all platforms if that's what you've been "Waiting On" ! I hope you're enjoying it as much as I am. Huge shoutout to Capella and the Allepac Family. Make sure you follow @mayorcapellagrey on Instagram for updates and more. "Here Damn" on all platforms (Listen & Buy) LADIES NIGHT : JAZMINE SULLIVAN, ARI LENNOX, QUEEN NAIJA, AND EBONY RILEY TOOK OVER ATLANTIC CITY6/12/2023 Shayna Sherie June 10,2023 Jazmine Sullivan, Ari Lennox ,Queen Naija , and Ebony Riley performed to an over-joyous crowd at Jim Whelen’s Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City,NJ . The ladies served authenticity, style, and beautiful vocals. The building was full of music lovers ready to partake in a celebratory evening. Jhene Aiko was originally set to perform however she announced via Instagram she was urged by her doctor to take a break and that she'd be taking some time to focus on herself and focus on her babies and would make it up to NJ fans next time she's in the area. The night's music was deejayed by DJ Quick. Ebony Riley opened the show with performing tracks from her debut EP "Ebony" including "Save Me". "Why", "Deuce Deuce" . She slayed her set and looked fly doing it. Ebony serves sensuality, boss, and humor. Her first performance sparkled and she had the crowd in tune with her moves and voice. Queen Naija stepped on to the stage and into a world of her fans. The crowd was prepared to sing along with the singer, song writer, and media star. She rocked a gorgeous green and purple and pink outfit. Queen's hair was styled by Murph with hair extensions from Haute Hair ATL , make-up by Brooke Cal, and styled by Mitch Ford. Queen looked absolutely stunning as she sang "Pack Lite" , "Karma", "Medicine, and "Butterflies". She also performed her songs " Let's Talk About It" and "Words of Affirmation." The crowd sang word for word as Queen performed. Ari Lennox glowed on stage. The Age/Sex/Location and " Shae Butter Baby" singer shined like a diamond as she performed her songs "Waste My Time" , "Pressure". "Stop By" "Shae Butter Baby" and more. She shouted out her band and grandmother Blanch Carter who use to perform in Atlantic City back in the day. Ari is smooth and looked gorgeous as the crowd vibed with her. It was definitely some Shae Butter Baby's in the building. Ari Vocals are strong and undeniably epic. She's so humble yet her presence dominates the stage. The screams from the crowd let you know she was rocking the night and putting on a great show. Phiily's own Jazmine Sullivan closed out the show with an unforgettable performance. The beautiful songstress and songwriter performed "Pick Up Your Feelings" "Hurt Me So Good" "Need U Bad" , Bust Your Windows" and more. She sag the house down. She even brought out Ari Lennox to perform their song "Sit On It" . The ladies did that! Jasmine's certified gold album "Heaux Tales". Jazmine and her background singers and band tore up that stage. It was a phenomenal set. Jazmine even took time to encourage the crowd to love themselves and expressed how she had to overcome that battle and that she deserved to not only love herself but be loved properly and treated right. The message was clear and everyone agreed. All in all Black Promoters Collective brought together a packed house. Boardwalk Hall was once again full of concert goers that left the building satisfied with a great show. The North 2 Shore Festival was definitely the place to be. This ladies night was one for the books. Shayna Sherie

Halle Bailey is stunning as Ariel. The new 2023 adaptation of the 1989 "The Little Mermaid" is a must see. The animated version is a classic favorite but the live action will soon be as well. The star studded cast Halle Bailey (“grown-ish”) as Ariel; Tony Award® winner Daveed Diggs (“Hamilton,” “Snowpiercer”) as the voice of Sebastian; Jacob Tremblay (“Luca,” “Room”) as the voice of Flounder; Awkwafina (“Raya and the Last Dragon”) as the voice of Scuttle; Jonah Hauer-King (“A Dog’s Way Home”) as Prince Eric; Art Malik (“Homeland”) as Sir Grimsby; Noma Dumezweni (“Mary Poppins Returns”) as Queen Selina; with Oscar® winner Javier Bardem (“No Country for Old Men,” “Being the Ricardos”) as King Triton; and two-time Academy Award® nominee Melissa McCarthy (“Can You Ever Forgive Me?” “Bridesmaids”) as Ursula.
I attended a private viewing of the film and I really enjoyed the film. The original story of "The Little Mermaid" is showcased with twist and turns. You never know what to expect under the sea. The music is astounding and the cinematography by Dion Bebee and special effects by Industrial Light & Magic, Wētā FX, Moving Picture Company and Framestore DNEG are incredible. Walt Disney Studios and Motion Pictures produced the film. Rob Marshall directed a great film and David Magee's screenplay is well scripted. All in all this movie has become part of the world of Disney. Get your tickets and don't miss"The Little Mermaid."

Shayna Sherie "Thank God for photography" said award winning photographer Judith Joy Ross. The Judith Joy Ross exhibit debut at The Philadelphia Museum of Art for the first time ever in America. This exhibition, Judith Joy Ross, premiered in 2022 at Fundación MAPFRE , Paris , and the Hague in the Netherlands. To have her art displayed in Philadelphia where she attended Moore College of Art, a few miles from her hometown of Hazleton, PA is a dream come true. It’s a celebration , and it's surreal to the artist. Judith expressed her love for photography and it's changes of color, paper, and permission throughout the years. She's carried herself as a risk taker and not afraid of a challenge or to push the envelope. Literally, before text messages an emails she'd send letters via type writer or written by hand for permission to take photos. She's a undeniable force of passion, persistence, and proactivity. Boldness and dedication has transformed her world. Judith expressed that her grey photos required more gold . The photos that required less gold created more brown and displayed happiness. Her work featured parks/ public schools in Hazleton, members of Congress in Washington D.C, children, and African immigrants in Paris. I asked Judith "Do you have a favorite photo in the exhibit?" She responded No, but right now my favorite is a picture I took of my mom as a kid laying in a bed in Philadelphia at the YWCA and that's one of my earliest photographs. So right now that means a lot to me because of course my mother isn't here. So that's my favorite right now. It changes everyday. I took it when I was a kid at Moore. That's when I became of photographer. I didn't know that I was a photographer until 20 years later .That took a long time to figure out. As we walked through each room and viewed her portraits together, and listened to her speak so candidly about her journey. She'd tell a joke and then invite us into a serious moment about the 9/11 and Vietnam memorial. The importance of capturing time was freeze framing moments forever. She didn't know as a child that taking pictures of squirrels and her love to draw and paint mannequins at her father's store would one day turn into her portraits being admired by thousands and exhibited in around the globe . Her portraits were captured with a large format 8x10 camera.. She also admires French photographer Eugene Atget who also used a large camera. The exhibit is a walk through journey of her life. She is a great portraitist. You travel with her through images from Eurana Park to Paris and everywhere in between. Her camera in hand is her happy place. She's able to connect with the world through her lens. She is the Judith Joy Ross. To conclude Sasha hosted . Nadia and Carlos of MAPFRE were in attendance. Joshua Chuang alongside Peter Barberie Brodsky curated the day. It was an honor to partake in such an incredible moment. Special thanks to Laura Coogan and Norman Keyes and the entire Philadelphia Museum of Art. Judith Joy Ross has been sponsored by Robert Montgomery Scott Endowment for Exhibitions, Kathleen C. and John J. F. Sherrerd Fund for Exhibitions, and the Lois G. and Julian A. Brodsky Installation and Exhibition Fund, and by additional contributions from Andrea Baldeck, M.D., Lois G. and Julian A. Brodsky, Robert and Julie Jensen Bryan, Sarena Snider, and other generous donors. The Philadelphia’s art museum. A world-renowned collection and a famous landmark building in the city, state, and world. A home to art from all walks of life. It's described as a place that welcomes everyone. We bring the arts to life, inspiring visitors—through scholarly study and creative play—to discover the spirit of imagination that lies in everyone. We connect people with the arts in rich and varied ways, making the experience of the Museum surprising, lively, and always memorable. We are committed to inviting visitors to see the world—and themselves—anew through the beauty and expressive power of the arts. The exhibition is accompanied by a major illustrated catalogue, co-published in English by MAPFRE and Aperture. It includes essays by curator Joshua Chuang and art historian Svetlana Alpers, and an illustrated chronology by Joshua Chuang and Adam Ryan. A personal reflection by Ross’s friend Addison Bross is also included. The volume is available in the Museum Store or via the website at Philamuseum.org ($65). "Don't Stop Your Love' ,"Twisted" ,"Nobody" , and " My Body." were just a few of the classics he performed . There was even a concert goer with a "I'm Here For Keith Sweat" shirt in the crowd. He danced and displayed stylish pieces with his quick changes for his set. As the show continued it didn't feel like our average concert from the DJ, to Lady B, to the audience just celebrating together, it felt more like a reunion. We all were celebrating. If you looked around , everyone was enjoying themselves. It was a giant party before the after-party. The lights dropped and it was time for New Edition. Can you believe that it's been forty years of New Edition ? The Hollywood Walk of Famers and Lifetime Achievement Award Winners Ricky Bell, Michael Bivins, Bobby Brown, Ronnie DeVoe, Ralph Tresvant, and Johnny Gill were live and in living color. They hit the stage and pure joy erupted at Boardwalk Hall. There were people with tears in their eyes as if they were seeing NE for the first time, people were doing their one and only signature dance moves. New Edition put on a indelible show. Everything was on point. They even showed throwback pictures and videos. New Edition even incorporated the BBD ,Bobby Brown, and Johnny Gill solo sets during the performance. So the audience got to hear everything from "Candygirl", "Mr.Telephoneman", "I'm Still In Love With You," "Don't Be Cruel" "Poison." to "My,My , My." All in all , The Legacy Tour brought to you by the Black Promoters Collective was a night to remember. It was an amazing show. They're hardwork and dedication did not go unnoticed. Huge thank you to all the artist and everyone that put the show together and special thanks to Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall and Atlantic City,NJ and of course the Black Promoters Collective. blackpromoterscollective.com @THEMOGULGIRL

ChriseanRock released her video for "Rainy Days", you can hear the pain in her voice. She expresses her emotions clearly as she paints a picture with her words about her life, dark clouds, and hard times. Chrisean has a unique sound and it needs to be heard. This single and video def embodies the hurt of not having the childhood you wanted and still having to face reality. There's a quote that says ”The nicest thing about the rain is that it always stops. Eventually.”
"Rainy Days" was filmed in her hometown of Baltimore by Chuckie "Feelmyart" Williams. The two collaborated to make a very heartfelt visual. This song is very personal and takes you more into the world and mind of ChriseanRock. She has a special gift and the supporters are definitely showing love as the video has accumulated over 100,000 views.
The multi-talented award winning and Grammy nominated Tyrese Gibson went on Instagram Live a few nights ago to discuss life, Jesus, motivation, and his new album "Beautiful Pain", The singer hasn't shied away from sharing his reality in books, his Black Rose visual, his Instagram page, interviews etc . However, in 2017 when he filmed himself breaking down on the internet, the world joked about it and didn't see the pain or sadness and quickly turned him into a meme.
The world didn't know the truth which Tyrese revealed during the live. He had been pressured into taking anti-psych meds and they triggered the up and down hill of emotions that were displayed on the video. He also was impacted by the loss of John Singleton whom he honors for giving him a life changing opportunity as an actor playing Jodie in "Baby Boy". â Recently Tyrese loss his mother Priscilla Murray Gibson, after her battle with Covid. He is still dealing with the hurt. He discussed the night after his mother passed, he was in the studio playing songs for the legendary Stevie Wonder. Tyrese proclaimed his love for Jesus and it's because of God's grace that he is still able to maintain and that he was never and hasn't been suicidal. The live was very intimate and he apologized to everyone he might have hurt and asked for forgiveness. He is still at a place where even though he's working on music he is unsure whether the album "Beautiful Pain" will ever be released. So, until more updates about the album release you can catch Tyrese on Instagram @Tyrese . You can also see him in the newly released film "Morbius" in which he plays Simon Stroud: An FBI agent hunting Morbius. I couldn't agree more with Tyrese that "God is not your resource, he is your source," Keep him in your prayers. @THEMOGULGIRL

Rawr! The live action version of Disney's 1994 " The Lion King" releases in theaters
July 19,2019 . The premiere kicked off Tuesday night in Hollywood with a star studded evening. On Wednesday I saw a private screening of the film and let's just say I can't wait to go see it again. Director Jon Favreau and executive producer Mario Zvan of Blue Sky Films Africa catalyzed the original film into one unforgettable movie. If you think I'm going to spoil the film for you trust me I'm not. This review will be short and sweet because I'm literally still speechless that I've seen it already. I felt as if I've waited my whole life just to spend and 1hr and 58minutes in a whole new yet familiar world. The film's cinematography by Caleb Deschanel is absolutely stunning. The soundtrack produced by Pharrell Williams and Hans Zimmer sets the tone for the film. Hakuna Matata what a wonderful phrase! As an adult realizing how many important gems there are in the film reminds you to remember who you are and don't ever forget it. Every story has it changes so you're bound to see a few if you can catch them. The characters are voiced by Chiwetel Ejiofor -Scar- John Oliver -Zazu- ,James Earl Jones -Mufasa-, John Kani -Rafiki- , Alfre Woodard -Sarabi -, JD McCrary -Young Simba- ,Shahadi Wright Joseph Young -Nala-, Beyonce Knowles Carter -Older Nala-,Donald Glover -Older Simba-, Penny Johnson Jerald -Sarafina, Keegan- Michael Key -Kamari- , Eric André -Azizi- , Florence Kasumba -Shenzi-, Seth Rogen -Pumbaa-Billy Eichner -Timon- ,Amy Sedaris -Guinea Fowl- ,Chance the Rapper -Bush Baby- Chance Bennett. Casting agent Sarah Finn alongside Priyanka Sirpal and Jason B. Stamey chose a well put together group to voice the characters. Illustrator Jamie Jones and graphic designer Andrew Campbell made everything look so realistic ! As far as visual effects go Charlotte Akehurst is astounding. There's so much to say but there's even more to see! So on July 19th , you can travel to Pride Rock and see Mustafa, Simba , Nala , Zazu and so many more on the big screen in a cinema near you.
