TMarie hit us with something different this time. The rap artist recently turned 25 and dropped her "Still Not A Player"(Remix) record ,and she's letting you know she's grown .This song is produced by Cyric . (The DankLordz) . The 2:55 track is red hot and straight fire. T Marie and DC basically beat down the beat and made a record you can ride to. No games are being played T Marie is putting in work and she's going in. "Still Not A Player" is a lead in to her new music, She's not a baby no more . Respect it. She's grown . Don't forget to

Raw energy, pure love, intelligence, realness, and gifted are just a few words that come to mind when you hear Iatia Love speak. A few weeks ago I saw Iatia Love rapping and filming a video. I wanted to know who he was. I introduced myself and he informed me he was shooting a freestyle video and gave me his Instagram @IatiaLove . I've been tuned into his grind ever since. His versatility and vivacity is tangible. Take the time to listen to his words and you'll hear his real and consistent message of love, his passionate spirit, and truthfulness . To sum it up he's on his Philly jawn you know thorough s***. Iatia is for sure an artist to keep your eyes on. His new project has no features, just hot story telling verses. His versatility is straight forward on songs like Illegal, Double Doors, Jermaine , and Fke Smilez . Whoa, DreamTeam 1& 2, Realside, spurs explosive amounts of motivation and drive. "One Night" has a stimulating smooth poetic vibe. Then there's track 10, #FreeLove and the title speaks for itself. So check out our interview below, watch the FreeLove documentary, and download and share #FreeLove.
When did music become apart of you ? Iatia : Thanks for having me...The beginning. I was always drawn to music. My Grandmom used to play oldies that honestly used to get on my nerves, but later on I'd grow to realize the music I loved in rap came from sampling those songs. Then I grew a respect for all music. How did it feel the first time you stepped in the studio? Iatia: Accomplished. I just wanted more. I wanted to do more. I was instantly hooked. I didn't like my voice though. I felt like it wasn't distinctive or strong enough. I have a whole different voice today, though. You live a vegan lifestyle. If hip hop was a vegan dish, what would it be and why? Iatia: A big chaotic platter with random things everywhere on a big plate. Not neat. No method to the placement. Just the most streamed plate on the planet. In your "Free Love " documentary you discussed wanting to make healing music, being conscious, and a gospel rapper. What does all this mean to you? Iatia: I wanted to simplify my message as much as possible. Break it down like a fraction. At one time, I made music to be the best at making music. Now, I make music from the core of my being, for people who I think should hear it. It may look, or feel one way but look deeper. Feel deeper. It's a message in everything I touch. Listen to "RealSide" from #FREELOVE. I break it all down. You give credit to God for your gift. A lot of people don't do that. What does your connection with God mean to you ? Iatia : If it wasn't for Source, I'd have no opportunity to be who I Am. I Am just a vessel. I'm Holy. God Lives and speaks through me. I'm a tool for The Creator. This powerful line "Don't run from your black, Overstand your image under attack". That bar might go over a lot of people's heads. What do you want the listeners to get from that? Iatia: I tend to like things that are original. Things that are true to what the nature of said thing is. I don't want to see a tree attempt to be a dog. If your hair grows in tight spirals, and you want to straighten it, cool. Just know what it is. Do it because you think it's dope. Don't do things to fit societal norms, or what's fed to you as the "it" look. One thing about what's "it" is "it" changes constantly. The hot body type from the 60's is not the same as the 70's. 70's not like the 80's and so on. I'm seeing some of these less melanated women taking on every black feature, except skin tone. Congrats on your release of your "Free Love" project and having your release event. What do you want the world to get from your message ? Iatia : I want them to know who they are. Creators. I want them to know that we all have trials, and they are made to define you, not break you. I want them to connect with source and find the Oneness. Everything is Everything. Don't hide. Take it in stride. You give back to the community and make sure young men have school supplies. How can people help? Iatia: Join #teamLOVE aka 1Nation. The easiest way to support the children and community is to support the music and merch from IAtIA LoVE. This is not a business tactic. It just all ties in. What I get, I give. One day, I will have enough to have a big conference, invite press and donate the big check. Until then, I give as I get, with Love. Which one of your songs mean the most to you ? Iatia: Different ones in different ways. I'd say "RealSide" is the one record I'd play for a complete stranger who wanted to know what I'm about. With "Double Doors", the original lyrics, I cried writing. Almost cried laying it. If you listen closely, you can hear it. Name three things that represent the "RealSide" to you ? Iatia : The RealSide is the projects across america. The RealSide is the people who do more with less, and create things that'll change the world, like Hip-Hop. The RealSide is that feeling you get when you do something that agrees with who you are, wholly. Thanks Again.
I attended his release event in Philly at Inkster on November 25,2017. All the Kreatives came out to support. Iatia performed different tracks from his new project. Everyone networked and had a good time partying and enjoying #FreeLove !

I've been vibing to "Love Galore" by SZA ft Travis Scott for a while now and posting lyrics. After seeing her timeline and seeing "CTRL" dropped I instantly had to listen. SZA is the home-girl for this one. She came through and sang about everything we think sometimes. Like girl you are all up in our cerebrum with these lyrics. Love it! SZA basically came through and put our group text messages, the text messages we write and delete, the clapbacks we say, and the moments we keep inside on full blast. Covering individuality, love, boys, side chicks, value, how guys play so much, and all of the feels.
Yes SZA! You snatched grooves with 'CTRL". From the tracks, features from Travis , Kendrick Lamar, James Fauntleroy, Isaiah Rashad, to the song titles SZA did her thang. I also love that her grandmother and mother are featured on her album as well! "Broken Clocks" yall know I love that one with the whole The Mogul Minute thing! So huge shout out to Top Dawg Entertainment and SZA for releasing a super special project that's 100% expressive and official. That "20 Something" record man oh man ! Girl you're the truth! WRITTEN BY Omarion is gearing up to release his fifth studio album "Reasons". His single "Distance" has a pop-dance vibe that makes you want to dance . Last week Chris Voice , Anthony, Royce P and Markus Lee , posted a picture of them together with the caption [Guess Who ? HP Sweethearts] . The picture of them standing on the steps together heightened the suspense of their fans that the group was back in effect. The photo even made me wonder was this just the guys hanging out or is this really official ? So of course I had to reach out to them to find out what's going on , because the internet is buzzing about the reunion. I've been following Hamilton Park's career for a while now and these guys have released some very hot, seductive, and gratifying music. Their "Hamilton Park" album debut in 2011 under Andre Harrell's label at Atlantic Records. The project featured singles such as "Computer Love" and "Thing Called Us".
Hamilton Park exudes pure talent , power, and undeniable favor that captivates their listeners and allures you right into their charming and blessed world. I've been wanting to interview Hamilton Park forever and I finally had the opportunity to do an exclusive interview with them for The Mogul Minute. It was a pleasure to have all four of them on the line "live" . Their personalities definitely shined through and I had an amazing time talking to them . Without further ado all the way from Atlanta here is Hamilton Park. LISTEN TO THE INTERVIEW
Cowboy Beebop is definitely one of Philly's illest young MC's . From his versatility to crush beats to his clever and eloquent vocabulary , he is guaranteed to draw you into his zone. Cowboy Beebop has released songs on his soundcloud as well as a few solo projects including "Dear Jane" and "SATURDAY". His flow is very unique and his lyrics are authentic. He has a style and creativity that is needed in the music scene. You can't just listen to one of his songs, you definitely have to play a couple more . Cowboy Beebop's music gives off that intelligent, productive, chill, celebration, yet still hood, prepared for good things in the future, relative, I love my family and supporters, type of vibe. All in all his ability to combine numerous vibes in multiple songs is for sure what relates to his fans and the streets. Cowboy Beebop deserves recognition for his dedication to his dreams and his passion for music . So check out my exclusive interview with him below. 1. The Mogul Girl : What made you love music ? Cowboy Beebop : I've been in love with music since the womb. My mom and pop actually met at a rap contest at the community center at 27th and Daulphin. My mom won the competition and my pop won her.So I feel like I never got a chance to fall in love with music .It just was always there, like a apart of me. 2.) The Mogul Girl : Who or what inspires you ? Cowboy Beebop : I'm a very aesthetic person. I see the beauty in all forms of art. Rather it be visually or sonically. I go to art museums, plays, concerts, dance offs etc.., I draw inspiration from all these different outlets. That's why all my projects are conceptual. Cause I draw from these things then re-interpret them through my music. Far as a person Kid Cudi . He's the complete artist. 3.) The Mogul Girl : Favorite lyrics from a song of yours ? Cowboy Beebop : "Get Free". A song from my mixtape called "Saturday." I say "Mama tell me face-time/but I never take time/I be on a straight grind/Girl I gotta make mine/She don't never judge me cause she love me like I'm Fazon/She just scared to lose me to the system like Trayvon" . I was basically saying that I been working so hard that I barely have the time to deal with anyone on a social level, not even my mother. Also explaining how my mother was afraid for me because of all the police violence toward black folks at the time. 4.) The Mogul Girl : Is it anything you want your fans to know ? Cowboy Beebop : I miss they (***) lol . I'm sick that I let them down . I'm going through a growth stage and I hope they're willing to go through it with me I'll be hone soon. 5.)The Mogul Girl : How do you think you impact the game? Cowboy Beebop : I feel like I'm the bridge between the gangsters and the hipsters at least at a local level. I am the beautiful contradiction. The hood N**** who can crowd surf at Powerhouse or SXSW. The artist who's on the same wave as the Uzi's and Thuggas but can rap like the Nas and Jay-Z and get respected by the J-Prince's and Shug Knight's. 6.) The Mogul Girl : If you could work on a song with any artist who would it be and why ? Cowboy Beebop : Probably PartyNextdoor. Dude just knows how to capture a certain mood in his music. I would love to learn how to do that. Plus, I think our chemistry would be heavy, 7.)The Mogul Girl : If you could do a song with any artist who would it be and why? Cowboy Beebop : It's a documentary by Big Sean called the "Road To Hall Of Fame". It's about his creative process while he was making his second album. I watch this jawn and it bring it bring me right back. 8.)The Mogul Girl : Most cherished lesson you learned in life ? Cowboy Beebop : Most cherished lesson would be the law of attraction. When you have a clear picture of what you want and you focus and work towards it, the universe brings things in your life that help you achieve it . 9) The Mogul Girl : What does Philly mean to you ? Cowboy Beebop : It's home. I have a love/hate relationship with the city.I've been to a lot of different cities and nobody has their own swag like Philly male or female. Everywhere we go we standout. But on the negative : The city is to hard (lol) . We don't gotta be ganster all the time. We gotta learn to embrace the fact that we're all different . Some n***** are street dudes , some dudes are hipsters . It's too cliquey. 10.) The Mogul Girl : Tell me what you want listeners to gain from your music ? Cowboy Beebop : An understanding of me. My lyrics are so personal. Which I do intentionally. I want people to feel like they know me. I want my fans to be my friends , that way I'll be good no matter where I go in the world. Also if I can give some kind of insight on doing what you want with your life and not what people think you should, then I'm happy with that. 11.)The Mogul Girl : What was your dream growing up ? Cowboy Beebop : My dream was and still is to be remembered. I'm scared to die as a nobody and have death and time destroy my legacy. Shoutout to my daughters Melaysia and Milan Shout out to @EarlyBBq on Instagram , Get Free Movement , La Beinot @LilSisTho on Instagram. Although Cowboy Beebop is currently incarcerated he is missed by his family, friends, and supporters . This was a great interview and I'm glad I got this opportunity to do this interview. Thank you Flok (@Flokobama32) for the connect I appreciate it. This goes to show everyone that the Get Free Movement is real. No matter where you are you can be free to go after your dreams and let them be heard. Follow Cowboy Beebop on Instagram ( Here) Subscribe to his Soundcloud ( Here)
As I walked into he Fillmore the LOVE sign glowed as smiling faces welcomed my mother and I. After checking our tickets we ventured up the stairs to another kind face whom greeted us and informed us to enter a contest to win concert tickets and receive updates on upcoming shows. The dim lights of the Budweiser Club room illuminated the stage where LION BABE and Kamau would be performing.
We stopped at the table to view merchandise before cruising around a little. A tall young man wished us to have a great time before directing us to our seats under the Pink promotional framed photo. The area is beautiful. The red vintage leather couches , red curtains, and brick wall set for a sultry alluring vibe. After we were seated we took in the view. The show room started to fill with concert goers and music of Erykah Badu, Musiq Soul Child, and other artist streamed on the TV as their music floated through the air. My mom and I talked and posed for a few pictures. Seated on the other side of the curtain was Style Connoisseur Eugene Simms of DC. I snapped pictures of the stylish music lover. My mother, Eugene and I all sat together in our booth as we waited for the show to start. We all talked , laughed , and shared stories. Soon the Budweiser Club was full and fans were beyond excited. The lights faded a little more before artist Kamau took the stage. Kamau is a D.C lyricist and singer. As he took to the stage we headed to the floor to get the full vibe of being at the concert. He performed songs from his EP “ A Gorgeous Fortune” and spoke about the injustice in America and that it’s not just a black problem but a problem. As he performed “Pohlease” we held our fist as the names of victims of police brutality rang out through the speakers the energy shifted in the room. Did you feel that? It was something powerful about that moment. The energy of those souls definitely were in the room during that time. He even brought artist No Wyld, on stage to perform “Jusfayu” with him. His set was packed with so much goodness. You can get his EP ( here) . After his set music continued to play for a while before Interscope artist “LION BABE” took the stage. The duo Jillian Hervey and Lucas Goodman have joined forces to create incredible music. Jillian welcomed all of us Philly fans as she proudly said “We are Lion Babe”. She looked beautifully golden. She’s stunning and her hair just gives off so much life . Lucas rocked out doing the production for the set. The crowd turned up as they performed songs from their "Begin " EP such as “Wonder Woman” ( I LOOOOOOOVE THAT SONG) , Got Body, On The Rocks, Stressed Out, Hold On , Treat Me Like Fire, Jungle Lady, Where Do We Go, Impossible , and a couple other records. Jillian also took the time to shout out her parents the beautifully talented Vanessa Williams and producer and entertainment industry exec Ramon Hervey II. Jillian also expressed her feelings about the importance of stopping the violence and that lives matter and dedicated her song "Little Dreamer". The crowd was pumped as we danced and sang along with Lion Babe. Huge shoutout to her band and live audio engineer Brandon for keeping the sound on fleek and sounding good.Lion Babe closed out the show with a performance of their hit song “Jump Hi”. We jumped up and down as she showed off her amazing dance skills. Once the show was over Lion Babe took photos with their supporters. All in all the show was beyond amazing. You have to put a “LION BABE” show on your bucket list. You have to put a “Kamau” performance on your must see list. The Fillmore is an awesome venue to see a show. Definitely follow them on social media. I’d also like to thank John Legere the CEO of T-Mobile for T-Mobile Tuesdays and lacing me with special tickets from Stubhub to see the show. Get LION BABE album and follow them on social media. Love to everyone that attended and thank you LION BABE and Kamau for being absolutely awesome. A Benjamin Franklin once said "Energy and persistence conquer all things". It's very rare that you come across someone whose energy is so magnetizing and sharp. Kev Young of Southbridge,Ma is very confident, committed, excited, spirited, and vibrant. After watching HIS "All Night" video , purchasing the single, and of course featuring him on The Mogul Minute I had to interview him. His voice and image is charming, dominant, and refreshing. His vibe is just so elevating , pure, and genuine. I'm so happy that he is the first "The Mogul Minute" interview of 2016. Oh yes this is how you kick off 5 years of The Mogul Minute the right way. So let's get into this interview with the spectacular Kev Young right now. 1.) The Mogul Girl : What's your favorite food ? Kev Young : My favorite food would have to be pasta. Pasta is definitely my favorite but not just any kind. Chicken Parm and stuff like that but if the sauce isn't right it isn't happening. The sauce has to be A1. The sauce is everything! 2.) The Mogul Girl : So what does music mean to you? Kev Young : Music to me is ......and I don't want to sound cliche but music to me is life. Music to me is a way to express myself and I''m not trying to put a downfall on my career but let's just say I wasn't going to make it , I would still make music. Music is something I personally use to release certain emotions....every emotion to be honest. Happiness, sadness, being mad, anything. Music to me is a way to keep me sane I guess. Yeah, it's going to stick with me. I catch myself singing without even trying to.When I'm cleaning my room or just doing simple things. It's just literally something that's instilled in my life. Its just going to be there forever. 2.)The Mogul : Now your single "All Night" is super sexy and the video is too? What was it like recording the song and shooting the video? Kev Young : I definitely love the song. It was dope recording it and putting it together. I was already excited for it once everything was done. Now the video (Ahhh man) it was fun . If I could put it into any words it would have to be fun. 3.)The Mogul Girl : So tell me about your upcoming project? Kev Young : I'm still debating on what I'm putting together. I've been putting out singles with my team and they're doing well. I'm debating on what I'm going to do either an EP or an album. I might just keep dropping singles but for my upcoming projects I have a few features , a few shows, and new videos .You know, basically just networking and promoting and trying to build a name for myself. So when the labels do come my portfolio will be situated . So my upcoming projects are basically just adding new songs, videos, and features. Not to many features because I'm trying to focus on myself but the ones I will have will be prime to my upcoming success. I just have to keep the faith. I'm not cocky but I'm confident. I believe in myself we're doing for each other we have a very solid foundation and 'm just trying to get there. A lot of people don't understand you can't do this by yourself. You need a team no matter what. Every person is just as important as the artist. I feel like a lot of people forget that.Everything is important when it comes to the team. Everyone is important when it comes to yourself. 4.) The Mogul Girl : Now what are some of your favorite things to do when you are not recording? Kev Young : I play a lot of sports. I know I might seem skinny as hell but I eat a lot. So I'm always eating . Now that it's winter time I'm into snowboarding I'm an active person . I'm into snowboarding heavy. I like going to the mountains. I'm into basketball. If I'm not in the studio I'm either writing or listening to beats or doing something to keep me entertained but yeah I'm def into food. I don't know where it all goes but I love eating. 5.)The Mogul Girl : I'm from Philly and I saw that one of your inspirations are Boyz II Men. If you could've been on any Boyz II Men song which would it be and why? Kev Young :Wow! That's a good question. Damn there's so many songs from them that I would love to be apart of . That's a hard one. If I could be apart of any song I think it would've been "Song For Mama" of "Water Runs Dry" . "Song For Mama" because I'm a mama's boy to the max. I grew up with just my mom. That's my world. My heart. That's the first person that's going to benefit from this whole thing if it goes well. She gave me life. "Water Runs Dry" because that's just a dope song. It's emotional. That song is levels . It touches so many levels of emotions. I'm probably going to end up listening to another Boyz II Men song like damn I should've said that one. 6.)The Mogul Girl : What are some of the things that you value in life? Kev Young : The first thing I would say is definitely my daughter. I value her so much she taught me so much just the whole way she came about. Everything about her has been a lesson to my life, I just love her so much. I value my music. Music is very important to me. I value morals. Just having good morals.I learned in life you can't be cool with everybody. That doesn't mean you have to be a jerk for a lack of better words. I value respect a lot. You have to give respect to earn respect. I just value every little thing that I have earned or gotten to this day. I value this interview. I'm just an appreciative person. I know that things don't come easy and things don't have to happen . Nobody told you to hit me up so the fact that this interview is happening .Just everything in general I appreciate it. I value God.God has a big role in my life.I grew up in a religious scene. Even though I make secular music to be technical I still value my relationship with God. That's something I'll forever keep close to my heart. I grew up in a religious home. My mother is still very religious. She goes to prisons to preach and she's constantly praying for me. she's up everyday at 5 AM because she has a dream that I would get stabbed when I was 17 . She wakes up at 5 A.M still until this day tomorrow she's going to be up praying for me.I love that woman she's a soldier. I feel like a lot of my blessings are because of her prayers. A lot of things have been avoided. I've been in bad places and literally leave the place 5-10 minutes later and something crazy would happen. A brawl, somebody shot, something crazy , and I literally just left and its happened a handful of times . So its like I feel I got something protecting me. So it definitely has to be the prayers of my mom. 7.) The Mogul Girl : Now the ladies are going to love you, your music, and image. What do you love about the ladies? Kev Young : I'm hoping . I'm not a bad guy. I love women's honesty. I feel women are a lot like children they ain't going to tell you they like something just to tell you they like it. They're straight up. They'll say "It was cool, it was alright". I just like that women are honest. I feel that a women would be quicker to tell me "Kev that was alright you can go harder then a guy would". They're upfront. They know what they want and they know how to get it. 8.) The Mogul Girl : Now if you could be any animal for the day. Which would you be and why? Kev Young : Ohhhhl! That's a good question. There's so many . I would want to be a lion off rip just because that's the king of the jungle. That's the man el captain. My favorite animal always been a tiger. See you got me thinking crazy like animal planet. I like eagles as well. They're high in the sky, flying over everything, and they have 20/20 vision they're not missing a thing. If I had to choose one it would be definitely be a lion just to to be the real king of the jungle out here.Lions are just so dominant. When you see them, they just demand your respect. 9.)The Mogul Girl : I love all types of movies. What's your favorite movie Kev Young : I have a lot but it would have to be "All About The Benjamins". I have a lot but yeah that's my all time favorite. I could watch it 20 times and still laugh just as hard. 10.) The Mogul Girl : What's your favorite line? Kev Young : Oh my god! There's so many. You know when he's like "You know what? I'm a start goin' D'Wights 'cause you don't laugh at my jokes or nothin' . D'Wight who? D'Wight around yo lip. You know that other line when he's like "You'll never find, blum, blum, blu , blum a hairline like mine". ( Laughing ) 11.) The Mogul Girl : So what do you want The Mogul Minute and the world to know about Kev Young? Kev Young : That I'm coming with fire music, but I'm coming humble. I'm not coming in this game trying to be better than anyone else cause that's not what I make music for. I'm very humble and I just want to make a name for myself. I will make a name for myself. So to everyone my name is Kevin Gonzalez "Kev Young" I'm a singer from Southbridge,Ma and I'm coming. You will hear my music and you will see me on BET one day very soon. Just know that I appreciate the love I get and I appreciate my team.My team consist of 3 0r 4 people. Shoutout to my Agresivo Records team . I do want to mention them. Shoutout to my boy Cam Yadier . I started with Cam when I started doing Spanish music . I do have to pay some respects to my boy Cam because they played a huge role in everything. They're still playing a huge role in everything that I do as well. Cam is a very good producer. He's always in Boston but he's from where I'm from. Also shoutout to "Sure Fire Music" that got me sounding amazing. These are my people. Teamwork makes the dream work. I'm in the studio right now but I cut the session just to do the interview. It's just flattering even to have an article written up on me . This is all cool and happening so fast and I appreciate you too. Thank you I appreciate Kev Young for being such an awesome interview and just being an amazing artist. As I said before his energy is just magnetizing and you can just gravitate to his passion, humor, just his pure love for life and for what he does. First "Zoe Ever After" premiers on BET and then Brandy releases her new single "Beggin & Pleadin"! Tonight is all that and a bag a chips! Brandy's new single "Beggin & Pleadin" is jazzy , soulful, fresh, funky, and it's so B-Rocka! So now we are definitely begging and pleading for a sixth album from the multi award winning songstress and actress. Brandy is absolutely beautiful and she's truly one of my inspirations. I remember having her debut album "Brandy" on cassette and at 24 a Saturday watching episodes of Moesha and eating pizza sounds perfect to me. I am so happy and proud of Brandy. Her new role as Zoe on "Zoe Ever After" is stylish, sassy, funny, and she's taking charge and balancing motherhood, her career, and relationships. In other words (inserts beat) the real champ is here and she's here to win. Watch "Zoe Ever After" on BET Tuesdays at 10PM/9C .

Instagram @SammieAlways Twitter @SammieAlways If you look at people that's successful they never really follow the pattern that everybody feels they have to go by -Dewey Da Don My favorite song from the "Killa City State Of Mind" mixtape by Urban Republic is 'Distorted Portraits". The song is definitely food for thought. Dewey and Novacain have diverse paths of their own but they've collaborated to create conscious and heart felt music. Both young men were born and raised in Kansas and they're going hard for their city. Currently they've moved to Atlanta for more opportunities . They are making moves in the industry as well as their personal lives. Dewey Da Don is Usher's protege and the Ambassador of Usher's "New Look Foundation". Dewey has inspired tons of youth with his story and that they are their own individual no matter what people say or where they are from. Dewey and Novacain continue to reach their goals. Their newest project "From Atlanta With Love" releases in 2016. I interviewed "Urban Republic" so check out what they had to say below. 1.) The Mogul Girl : Dewey you posted an Instagram post with the caption "My passion is my purpose so I let it lead me. How are both of you letting your passion lead you at this point in your life? Dewey Da Don: I have learned that a great leader wears many different hats. I set up all my passions to be a revolving door so that no matter when I'm doing something its always feeding into what I ultimately want to do. My three biggest buckets would be music, business and philanthropy. So ultimately it would be just that. I just really set myself up so that everyday I'm surrounded by what I want to do. I do what I love which is music, service, and business. Also always keeping in mind that this right now is not the future. That I have to grind. Grind until it make sense to everyone because it makes sent to me. So I just have to grind to get the results that I need to translate to everyone else. Novacaine: Just keeping the music at the forefront. With music we can be going through things in our personal life and we always say "When we get on or when we get to that point". So we make decisions that will help our future. We just let music carry us. 2.) The Mogul Girl : So you guys are doing something with the Usher New Look Foundation on October 22, 2015 at the Leadership Academy .Can you tell me a little bit about what's going on that day in Brooklyn? Dewey Da Don : I'm kicking off my orientation with my children. This is our 3rd year of representing in Brooklyn. I was afforded a promotion. I took on the responsibility of being the Atlanta coordinator and New York coordinator. Now I've gotten a few promotions however Brooklyn is near and dear to my heart. Brooklyn is my favorite city in New York. My youngest daughter's name is Brooklyn. That's how much that community means to me. Just because of the youth that I've worked with. The orientation is to bring new freshmen on board as well as acclimating our sophomores and juniors. We just want to give them new information and update them on things throughout the year. For example job settling and mentor/ mentee opportunities. We'll also have four panelist that will speak from different perspectives and pillars that we serve which our talent, education, career, and service. We have Tracey G from Sway In The Morning to come and speak so it's going to be lit. So I get to fellowship with my children.I love Brooklyn, I love the kids out there, it's a lot of potential and opportunities out there 3.) You guts have recorded a lot of music. What's one of your favorite songs of your own? Novacain : Probably are song "What You Know About It". That song has so much substance and pain in it. Everytime I listen to it. I keep it on repeat. I just sit and reflect. It brings tears to my eyes.I remember Dewey called me one morning and was like you been through a lot. He was very emotional and tearful. Just for him to do that and invoke the same emotion from that song is definitely why that's one of my favorite songs. Dewey Da Don : That song you should go check it out because it cosigns the story were trying to tell. That song means a lot because "I watched my brother suffer" . It was pain in there because I saw him growing as an individual, as a man, as a leader, and a rapper. One of my favorite songs is "Daddy's Little Girl" . Early on I was very transparent with my music even in high school. I mean like my chick broke up with me and I just put it on a track. So major life events and all that were expressed through my music. So when my daughter got taken away from me for a year, so the only way I could communicate with her was through music. I'm not going to let any type of barrier keep me from speaking to my daughter. Whether it was through YouTube or Facebook . She's not going to have the feeling I abandoned her. I'm not going to have that impression. I wasn't going to allow that. That's one of my near and dear songs because I encapsulated a very painful moment in my life. I turned that pain to power.I used that as motivation to try and reach my daughter. Overall, I'm cheating because I'm saying two it would have to be "Distorted Portraits" . It has been the trial of our life.We make so much diverse music and we're good at everything we do. I don't want to toot my own horn. People tell us we're good at everything we do when we do it. So its like people want to box us in and the song is about that. Don't box us in! We have our own plan and goal. We have to be who we see ourselves as not how everyone sees us. Distorted Portraits is you see the picture its right in front of you but you don't get it . Its up to us to make that vision clear. When our visions unify we can create change and power. It takes a cooperative effort to make anything happen. So its going to take everyone to help us get that platform. So we can continue to do the work it takes everybody. I appreciate Dewey Da Don keeping it G-Real! Telling his story and speaking on the importance of grinding, being confident in your craft, branding yourself, and not letting doubters stop you from what you believe in. Novacain and Dewey Da Don both spoke on the importance of turning pain into power. I really appreciated their openness and their charisma is the interview. We all are trying to survive this thing called life. Whether old, young, rich or poor we all face daily challenges just trying to make it, to be happy, to be free of the heartache and pain. However are we every really free? Does the bull crap ever stop? The upcoming sophomore album "This Thing Called Life" by August Alsina is going to high light exactly what we're all thinking. August just released the "This Thing Called Life" trailer tonight. Watching it I teared up even though its 1:24 (he covered a lot in the trailer). When an artist puts out content that you can relate to , it goes beyond just posting or reading an article it gets to your heart, your emotions, and your thoughts. The trailer shows August in various scenes tossing and turning in bed, in the bathroom with full and empty pill bottles, viewing the streets from his window, a policemen standing over him with a gun, and him frustrated and throwing his plaque. Meanwhile the voice over you hear are his inner thoughts. The ones you seems to miss by his infamous smile in Instagram pictures. Truth is you never know what someone is thinking or going through that's why we shouldn't judge, The truth also is is that we have to speak up how we feel. Could you relate to the scenes and thoughts in this trailer? How many nights have you stayed up just thinking about things changing for the better? Have you ever doubted God's love? Have you ever thought enough was enough? Realized money just might not change the pain in our hearts or the people and situations around us ? Yeah I think we've all been there. I definitely think this album is going to be deep, honest, and a straight forward message. August even touched on "Who is policing the police?" in this trailer. We all are resonating on that due to the constant murders of African Americans by police. No matter what age the question of "What's next"? always floats around in our minds. Trusting God, believing, and continuing to survive regardless of the let downs is all that matters. Yes this Thing Called Life is a trip and we may never understand why things are the way they are. However, our purpose is to get through it . In an old Hot 97 interview I heard August say "I know that I'm hustla, I know that I'm a grinder and I know that I'm gone pray each and everyday and I'm gone be wherever God put me." That quote is so true. August definitely is a hustler and a grinder and in "This Thing Called Life" no matter what trials and tribulations he faces he'll continue to grind and pray. "Thing Thing Called Life" album releases 12.11.2015. Watch the trailer below and get his single "Song Cry"(Here) . This album trailer visual is attention grabbing and definitely builds up the anticipation for the album and videos. August Alsina , Payne Lindsey , and the crew did an awesome job .

Every rose needs the rain sometimes. How true is that? Pain and hurt serve as obstacles in life that help us to bloom and evolve. Sometimes we have to let it go and release the tears and hidden emotions. August Alsina's new single "Song Cry" produced by Brandon Hodge is so sincere and true. August speaks on numerous things on the track such as two faced people , undercover haters, trying to figure out which way to go in life , learning how to love, the loss of his brother, hate from his family , and how fame nor money can't get the love that he wants from those close to him, and staying inebriated to distance his mind from hurting . This song is so on point. August also references to contemplating suicide. (So glad he didn't ) . I think it's so important that August is telling his story and letting his supporters know that they can relate. That fame isn't all it's made out to be. That there are still problems and things money can't buy. To anyone that may be reading this if you are in a rough place in your life remember that it's okay to cry, it's okay to ask for help, and it's okay to let people know how you really feel. You can get through it ! It may seem hard now but things will change for the better. If you are thinking of committing suicide please reach out to the National Suicide Prevention hot line 1-800-273-8255. August is for sure letting his soul cry through these words. Even though he's stating that he's hurt by the people around him, he still has their back and still cares for them. This is a real track! I feel it. I'm pretty sure we all have cried once or a couple times because of pain whether internal or external. No matter who you are or what you are a going through a good cry and release of emotion whether its through tears, singing, art, dancing, writing etc , just might make you feel better. Just to get it out of your system. Who knows your story might just inspire someone else to keep going and not give up. I think August is a great and gifted young man.I'll keep him in prayer for sure. August releases his sophomore album "This Thing Called Life" soon. Stay tuned to his Twitter @AugustAlsina for updates.

As a 24 year old I'm really looking forward to "25" Adele's new album. It's been four years since her last album "21" released. The glamorous mom, singer, and songwriter is back with her first single "Hello" written by herself and Greg Kurstin. Adele quickly takes you into her world with her soul touching , heart felt, voice and lyrics ( Did anyone else fight back tears)? This song is so emotional and moving. You just might want to pick up the phone and say "Hello" to your ex or someone you miss dearly. Adele released her single and video the same day starring Tristan Wilds as her leading guy (perfect choice by the way). The video is directed by director and actor Xavier Dolan. The video is beautiful shot in sepia tone and it's the first video to be shot in IMAX. The scenery, the rain, and the camera angles together create a gripping yet refulgent visual.
